Operating Instructions 132 7.7 File Size and Number of Buffered Images The following table shows the relationship between the file size of the image and the maximum number of buffered images. Note The following file sizes are shown at their maximum value. The number of Buffer/Transfer images The maximum number of images that can be buffered/transferred depends on resolution or image quality. When one or more settings are enabled in Trigger, the maximum number of buffered images will be divided equally between each enabled setting. As the images are saved on the internal memory, even if images cannot be transferred due to server or network failure, the maximum number of buffered/transferred images will remain the same. Example Image Resolution: 320×240, Image Quality: Standard The maximum number of buffered images for each setting = About 250 ÷ The number of enabled settings ResolutionItemsCaptureFavor ClarityStandardFavor MotionMobile phone* 640 × 480 (pixels) File SizeAbout 60 KBAbout 50 KBAbout 33 KBAbout 20 KB- Buffered Images-About 80About 120About 200- 320 × 240 (pixels) File SizeAbout 30 KBAbout 25 KBAbout 16 KBAbout 8 KBAbout 8 KB Buffered Images-About 160About 250About 500About 500 160 × 120 (pixels) File SizeAbout 10 KBAbout 7 KBAbout 5 KBAbout 3 KBAbout 3 KB Buffered Images-About 570About 800About 1330About 1330 *The values shown are the file sizes when transferring to a cell phone.

Operating Instructions 134 Example The maximum number of buffered images for each setting (A): About 250 images The maximum number of [Enable Pre-trigger Image Buffer] images (B): About 80 images A specified number of [Enable Pre-trigger Image Buffer] images (B: about 80 images) are buffered at specified intervals in the Pre-trigger memory (β) set aside for this purpose. When motion is detected, the images in the Pre- trigger memory (β) are moved to the buffered image memory (γ) so that they can be seen by the user. Post-trigger images are stored in the buffered image memory (γ). The Pre-trigger memory (β) is used for buffering new Pre-trigger images and not storing buffered images. Used for buffering new Pre-trigger imagesPost-trigger images are stored (D): About 90 images (C): About 170 images Motion is detected (B): About 80 images MovingInternal memory (A): About 250 images 80 90β βγ β βγ Pre-trigger memoryBuffered image memory (can be seen by the user) Pre-trigger memoryBuffered image memory (can be seen by the user) (B) (D): Must be 90 or below.
