11 Sound Controls CQ-5250U SQ (Sound Quality) SQ is a function that can call up various sound types at the touch of button in accordance with your listening music type. Press [SQ]for more than 2 seconds to select the sound type as follows: (ROCK)speedy and heavy sound: exaggerates bass and treble. (POP) wide-ranged and deep sound: slightly emphasizes bass and treble. (VOCAL) clear sound: emphasizes middle tone and slightly emphasizes treble. (FLAT) flat frequency response: does not emphasize any part. (default) Audio Modes (Bass/Treble/Balance/Fader) 1Push [SEL] to select the audio mode. Note:If no operation takes place for more than 5 seconds in audio mode (2 seconds in volume mode), the display returns to the regular mode. 2Turn [VOLUME] clockwise or counterclock- wise to change each level. Preset station selection Press the corresponding preset button from [1]to [6] to tune in a preset station. 20CQ-5250U Installation (continued) Mounting and removing the Main Unit ❏Mounting Procedures (When using Mounting Collar q) 1 2 3 The included Mounting Collar qis designed specially for this unit. Do not use it to attach any other m\ odel. Insert Mounting Collar qinto the dashboard, and bend the mounting tabs out with a screwdriver. Establish the rear connection of the unit. After fixing Power Connector, fix the rear of the unit to the vehicle body by either method (a) or (b) shown in the next page. After installation reconnect the negative (–) battery terminal. The tabs to be bent vary depending on the vehicle. To securely install the unit, fully bend a number of the tabs so that there is no rattling.
