    ªCopying still pictures on PC
    1Connect this unit to the personal computer via the USB cable (optional).
    2Double-click [NO_NAME] or [Untitled] displayed on the desktop.
    ≥Files are stored in [100CDPFP] folder etc. in the [DCIM] folder.
    3Using a drag-and-drop operation, move the pictures you want to acquire 
    or the folder storing those pictures to any different folder on the personal 
    computer.
    ªTo disconnect USB cable safely
    Drag [NO_NAME] or [Untitled] disk icon to the [Trash], and then disconnect the USB cable.

    ≥Underlined items are the initial shipping 
    condition.
    ª[REC LAMP]
    The recording lamp lights during recording and 
    flashes when the unit receives a signal from the 
    remote control or when the self-timer is counting 
    down. When this is set to [OFF], it does not light 
    during recording.
    ª[DISPLAY]
    The screen indications are selected as shown in 
    the illustration below.
    ≥The display will change according to the 
    presence or absence of an inserted SD card.
    ª[POWER SAVE]
    [OFF]:
    The power saving function is not activated.
    [5 MINUTES]:
    When about 5 minutes have passed without any 
    operation, this unit automatically turns off to 
    prevent the battery from running down. When 
    you use this unit, turn it on again.≥In the following cases, the unit may not turn off 
    even when you set this to [5 MINUTES].
    – When using the AC adaptor
    – When connecting the unit to a computer or 
    printer via the USB cable
    ª[BEEP SOUND]
    This allows operations such as starting and 
    ending recording to be signaled by a beep.
    When [OFF] is set, no beep is heard when an 
    operation such as recording is started or ended.

    CANNOT RECORD.Data writing to the SD card has failed.
    NO DATA.There are no motion pictures or still pictures recorded on the SD 
    card.
    If this message appears although data is recorded on the SD card, 
    the condition of the card is probably not stable.
    Turn off the power and then turn it on again.
    CANNOT BE USED DUE 
    TO INCOMPATIBLE DATA.The recording format is different so it cannot be used. Save the data 
    on the SD card to a computer, then use the SD card after formatting 
    it.
    CANNOT RECORD - 
    INCOMPATIBLE CONTROL 
    DATA.
    CHECK CARD.This card is not compatible or it cannot be recognized by the unit.
    THIS CARD CANNOT 
    RECORD IN VIDEO MODE.An 8 MB or 16 MB SD card on which motion pictures cannot be 
    recorded is inserted.
    CARD LOCKED.The write protection switch on the SD Card is set to LOCK. (l28)
    NOW ACCESSING.
    PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE 
    CARD.The data is being processed. Close the card slot cover and wait for 
    a while.
    CARD FULL.The SD card is full so no further data can be recorded. Delete 
    unnecessary scenes/files or insert a new SD card. (l34, 73, 75)
    CANNOT RECORD.
    THE NUMBER OF SCENES 
    HAS EXCEEDED THE 
    MAXIMUM LIMIT.The maximum number of recordable scenes on 1 SD card has been 
    reached so recording is not possible. Delete unnecessary scenes or 
    insert a new SD card. (l34, 73, 75)
    CANNOT RECORD - DATE 
    CAPACITY IS FULL.The number of scenes grouped together on a date has reached the 
    maximum number so recording is not possible. Delete unnecessary 
    scenes or insert a new SD card. (l34, 73, 75)
    CANNOT OPERATE. 
    TEMPERATURE IS HIGH. 
    PLEASE TURN OFF AND 
    WAIT A WHILE.The internal temperature of this unit is high so it cannot be operated. 
    Turn off the power, wait until the temperature falls and then turn on 
    the power again.
    THIS BATTERY CANNOT 
    BE USED.Use a battery that is compatible with this unit. (l31)
    You are attempting to connect an AC adaptor not compatible with 
    this unit. Use the supplied AC adaptor. (l32)
    If using a Panasonic battery compatible with this unit (l31), 
    remove the battery and then insert it again. If the message appears 
    even after repeating this several times, this unit needs repair. 
    Detach the power and consult the dealer who you purchased this 
    unit from. Do not attempt to repair it by yourself.

    CANNOT PROTECT.Scenes on SD cards for which the top menu has been created with 
    HD Writer Ver2.5 cannot be protected. 
    PUSH THE RESET 
    SWITCH.An irregularity in the unit has been detected. Press the RESET 
    button to restart the unit. (l115)
    CANNOT SET.The [GUIDE LINES], [ZEBRA], [MF ASSIST] and [LEVEL METER] 
    menu settings cannot be set when the color bar is set.
    CHANGE MODE TO USE 
    USB.The USB cable is connected in recording mode.
    DISCONNECT USB 
    CABLE.You are attempting to switch the mode dial from PC Connection 
    mode to another mode with the USB cable connected.
    DISCONNECT USB 
    CABLE.The unit cannot correctly establish the connection to the computer 
    or printer. Disconnect and then reconnect the USB cable.
    DISCONNECT USB 
    CABLE.When the unit is connected to a computer, its power cannot be 
    turned off.

    When the remaining capacity of the battery is low:

    ≥Use a sufficiently charged battery or the AC adaptor.
    ≥Depending on the condition of the data, it may not be possible to completely repair the data.
    ≥If the recovery fails, you will no longer be able to playback the scenes recorded before the power went 
    off.
    ≥When data recorded on another device is recovered, it may not be possible to play back the data on 
    this unit or the other device.
    ≥If the recovery fails, format the SD card on this unit.
    ≥If the thumbnail information is recovered, displaying the thumbnails may become slower.
