Troubleshooting Maintenance ENGLISH - 51 Troubleshooting Confirm the following problem and cause. Should any problem persist, contact an Authorized Service Center. Problem CausePage Power does not turn on. The power cord may not be connected securely. z19 No electric supply at the wall outlet. z21 The circuit breakers have tripped. z— TEMP z or LAMP indicator is lit or flashes. 46 The lamp unit cover has not been securely installed. z49 The control buttons are zLOCKED. 44 CONTROL PANEL z in the PROJECTOR SETUP menu is invalidated. 44 No picture appears. The audio signal source may not be connected properly. z17, 18 The input selection setting may not be correct. z23 The zBRIGHTNESS adjustment setting may be at the minimum setting. 30 The signal input source may not be operating properly. z— The zAV MUTE function may be in use. 24 The picture is fuzzy. The lens focus may not have been set correctly. z23 The projector may not be at the correct distance from the screen. z15 The lens may be dirty. z47 The projector may be tilted too much. z15 Color is pale or grayish. COLOR z or TINT adjustment may be incorrect. 30 The input source which is connected to the projector may not be adjusted\ z correctly. — No sound can be heard from the internal speaker. The audio signal source may not be connected properly. z17, 18 The volume adjustment may be at the lowest possible setting. z25, 41 A cable may be connected to the zVARIABLE AUDIO OUT terminal. 13 The remote control does not operate. The batteries may be weak. z— The batteries may not have been inserted correctly. z14 The remote control signal receptor on the projector may be obstructed. z14 The remote control unit may be out of the operation range. z14 REMOTE CONTROLLER z in the PROJECTOR SETUP menu is invalidated. 44 The remote control is under a strong light such as fluorescent. z14 The control buttons of the projector do not operate. CONTROL PANEL z in the PROJECTOR SETUP menu is invalidated. (If you have a loss of the remote control while the CONTROL PANEL is invalidated, press and hold the MENU button for 2 seconds by pressing the ENTER button.) 44 The picture does not display correctly. T zhe signal format (TV-SYSTEM, RGB/YPBPR) may not have been set correctly.31 There may be a problem with the VCR or other signal source. z— A signal which is not compatible with the projector is being input. z52 Picture from a computer does not appear. The RGB signal cable is too long. (Limit to 10 m (32'10").) z— The external video output from a laptop computer may not be correct. z (You may be able to change the external output settings by pressing the [Fn] + [F3] or [Fn] + [F10] keys simultaneously.
