Troubleshooting
Before you call for service, determine the symptoms
and make a few simple checks as shown below .
Symptoms
Power does not turn

  Is the lamp unit cover fully installed?

The lamp circuit has detected
a malfunction.

had been turned off?
Wait till the lamp cools off
and turn on the power.
  There  is a malfunction in the lamp circuit.Turn off the power and con-
sult your sales dealer.

							Replacing the lamp unitLamp unit replacement periodThe lamp unit for the projection TV should be replaced after approximately 5,000 hours of use in the normal usage
mode. Warning display after 5,000 hours of use
When the power has been turned off after over 5000 hours of
continued use, LAMP REPLACE will be displayed  for approximately
1 min. The next time the power is turned on.
A warning message to urge the replacement of the lamp will be
displayed in red at the center of the screen.

Resetting the counterAfter replacing lamp, please make sure to undergo below procedure in order to reset the lamp lifetime counter.

Press down both VOLUME DOWN button on the unit and ACTION button
on the Remote Control at the same time for more than 1 second.
When successful, the 3 LED on the set’s front panel (Power  / Lamp /
Temperature) will flash for 5 seconds.

Important Points to keep in mindWhen replacing the lamp unit with a new one, pay attention to the following points.
Warning:  Because the temperature of the lamp unit is elevated  immediately after its use, a direct touch to it may cause
burns. Please allow the lamp to cool before handling or replacing the lamp unit.Cautions for Lamp Unit Replacement:  Handle the removed old lamp unit carefully. If abusing it, it may have a risk of explosion.  Wear gloves when replacing the lamp unit.  If replacing the lamp unit becomes necessary during the operation of the projection TV, follow the procedure below
to turn off the power and wait until the lamp unit cools completely.
1. Press the POWER button on the remote control unit.
2. Wait for about 90 seconds until the cooling fan stops.
* The lamp cooling fan will continue to operate for about 90 seconds after turning off the power. Do not
unplug the power cord from the outlet until the fan has stopped. Avoid interrupting the power line such as
by using circuit breakers or switchable power strips.
3. After the cooling fan has stopped, turn off the MAIN POWER switch on the front of the projection TV.
4.  Unplug the power cord from the outlet.

1   Remove the speaker grille.

2  Remove the lamp unit cover, loosening the screw
fixing it. The screw is located on the left bottom.    Remove Procedure
Replacing the lamp unit
4  Pull out the lamp unit slowly.3  Loosen the two screws securing the lamp unit.  Check
that the lamp unit and its region are completely cool.
The two screws are located on the right top and left
bottom.
Warning:
 Because the temperature of the lamp unit is
elevated  immediately after its use, a direct touch
to it may cause burns.
1  Install a new lamp unit slowly.2  After fully inserting the lamp unit, tighten the two
screws located on the right top and left bottom.
4  Firmly install the speaker grille.

3  Insert the Tabs into the main unit as shown.
