    About recovery
If faulty management information is found, the messages may appear and a repair is performed.
(Repairing may take time depending on the error.)
    ≥Use a sufficiently charged battery.
≥ Depending on the condition of the data, it may not be possible to completely repair the data.
≥ If recovery fails, it will not be possible to play back files recorded before the unit turned off.
≥ When data recorded on another device is recovered, it may not be possible to play back the data
on this unit or the other device.
≥ If recovery fails, turn the unit off and on again after waiting a while. If recovery fails repeatedly,
format a media on the unit. Please be aware that if a media is formatted, then all the data
recorded on the media will be erased.

    CHECK CARD.
This card is not compatible or it cannot be recognized by the unit.
If this message appears even though motion pictures and still pictures are recorded on an
microSD card, the card may be unstable. Reinsert the microSD card, then turn the unit off and
    then on again.

    Troubleshooting
    The lens or LCD monitor
    fog up. ≥
This is due to condensation. It is not a malfunction. Please
    refer to page 5.
    The alert sound and
    shutter sound are low. ≥
This is for ensuring the waterproof performance of this unit,
and not a malfunction. Opening and closing the side cover will
    restore the original volume.
    Power
    ProblemCheck points
    This unit cannot be turned
    on.
This unit does not stay on
    long enough.
    Battery runs down quickly. ≥
Charge the battery again to ensure it is sufficiently charged.
    (l 11)
≥ In cold places, the battery using time becomes shorter.
≥ If the operating time is very short even after the battery has
been recharged sufficiently, the battery has worn out. Consult
    with your dealer.
    Recording
    ProblemCheck points
    This unit arbitrarily stops
    recording. ≥
Use a microSD card that can be used for motion picture
    recording. ( l14)
≥ The recordable time may have shortened due to the
deterioration of the data writing speed or repeated recording
and deletion. Using this unit, format the microSD card. ( l20)
≥ If you use a microSD card with a SD Speed Class Rating
lower than Class 6 in [SLOW MOTION] ( l31), recording
    may stop suddenly. ( l14)
≥ If you use a microSD card with a SD Speed Class Rating
lower than Class 10 when [PIXELS / FRAME RATE] ( l32) is
set to [3840 k2160/30p], recording may stop suddenly. ( l14)
    Color balance of images is
    strange when recording in
    a place such as a
    gymnasium. ≥
In a place with multiple light sources, such as a gymnasium or
a hall, set the White Balance setting to (Indoor 2). If you
cannot record clearly with the (Indoor 2), set it with
    [CUSTOM]. ( l35)
    Recorded motion pictures
    flicker.
    Horizontal lines appear in
    recorded images. ≥
If you record an image with [1280 k720/120fps] or [848 k480/
240fps] in [SLOW MOTION], flickering or horizontal lines may
appear under fluorescent lighting. ( l32)

    About the Wi-Fi function
    ProblemCheck points
    Cannot connect to
    wireless access point or
    smartphone. ≥
Read page 64 if the Wi-Fi connection cannot be established.
    When looking at the
    recording screen or
    playing back an image on
    the smartphone, mosaic-
    like noise appears and the
    motion is not smooth. ≥
Depending on the smartphone or radio wave conditions,
when you play back a motion picture, mosaic-like noise may
appear on the screen and the motion may not be smooth.
(The images to be recorded are not affected.)
    A motion picture file is
    created that is longer than
    the recording time. ≥
Recording in [SLOW MOTION] (l31) will create a motion
picture file that is longer than the recording time. For example,
the playback time of a motion picture recorded in [848
    k480/
240fps] (1/8 slow-motion) will be 8-times longer than the actual
    recording time. (

    This unit does not change
    to Playback mode. ≥
When this unit is recording a motion picture, “Image App”
    cannot change to Playback mode.
    Files cannot be played
    back. ≥
If a high-quality motion picture is copied to a smartphone, it
may not be able to be played back on the smartphone. ( l32)
This unit does not turn off,
    even after closing “Image
    App”. ≥
This unit can be turned off by tapping # [CAMERA

≥When the LCD screen is dirty or
condensation has occurred, please wipe it
using a soft cloth such as eyeglass cleaner.
≥ When the unit has become very cold, for
example due to storage in a cold area, its
LCD monitor will be slightly darker than usual
immediately after the unit is turned on. The
normal brightness will be restored when the
    unit’s internal temperature rises.
To update the firmware of this unit, copy the

it into this unit, and perform [FIRMWARE
UPGRADE] in the [SETUP] menu. ( l21)
The battery used in this unit is a
    rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It is
    susceptible to humidity and temperature
and the effect increases the more the
    temperature rises or falls.
If the operating time is very short even after
the battery has been recharged, the battery
    has worn out.
    Consult with your dealer.
