- 165 - To copy scenes and still pictures by setting up a Wi-Fi connection between this unit and the PC, complete the following preparations: jTurn on the PC j Create a shared folder (destination folder) *1 *1 The name of the folder must consist of 15 or less alphanumeri c characters. ∫When using HD Writer AE 5.2 1 Install HD Writer AE 5.2.≥For information on the operating environment and installation, refer to “Operating environment” ( l 208 ) and “Installation” (l 211). 2 Using HD Writer AE 5.2, create a destination folder.≥Select [Auto-create] or [Create manually]. The first option creates a destination folder automatically, while the second o ption allows you to specify a destination folder or create a new one. With the second option, you can also set password protecti on for a destination folder. ≥ For details, refer to the Operating Instructions of HD Writer AE 5.2 (PDF file). (l215 ) ∫When not using HD Writer AE 5.2 ≥If the workgroup setting of the connected PC has been changed from the standard one, you also need to change the [PC Connect Setup] setting of this unit. ( l165 ) 1Press Wi-Fi button on this unit and touch [Copy]. 2Touch the PC to be connected.≥To search for PCs again, touch [Refresh]. (When the PC you want to connect to is not displayed) Touch [Manual Setting]. 3(When [Manual Setting] is touched)Enter the computer name of the PC (NetBIOS name for Mac compute rs).≥Enter the computer name of your PC (NetBIOS name for Mac comput ers). (A maximum of 15 characters can be entered.) ≥ When the computer name (or NetBIOS name) contains a space (blan k character), etc., it may not be recognized correctly. If a connection attempt fails, we reco mmend that you change the computer name (or NetBIOS name) to the one consisting of only a lphanumeric characters, with a maximum of 15 characters. ≥ Input method is same operation as for setting up the title. ( l104 ) ≥ After entering the computer name of the PC, touch [Enter]. 4Touch [INPUT], and enter the name of the shared folder.≥If you have created a shared folder (destination folder) using HD Writer AE 5.2 (l165 ), touch [NEXT]. ≥ Enter the name of the shared folder you have created on your PC , and touch [Enter]. (A maximum of 15 characters can be entered.) ≥ If a screen asking you to enter a user account and password is displayed after you have entered the name of the shared folder, enter the one you have created o n your PC. ≥ When the connection to the PC is complete, copying starts. ≥ When copying is complete, this unit turns off automatically. - 167 - ≥Copying can be performed even when the battery is used for powe r, but we recommend that the AC adaptor be used. ≥ Once scenes or still pictures are copied to a PC, the original scenes or still pictures cannot be copied to any PCs. ≥ If the total length of the scenes recorded on the same date on the SD card exceeds approximately 8 hours, the scenes will not be copied. ≥ If the copy source contains scenes or still pictures recorded o n other devices, copying may be canceled. ≥ Depending on your environment, copying may take time or may not be available. ≥ If the scene to be copied is long or copying fails, we recommen d that the following be performed for copying. j Connecting this unit to the PC by USB cable ( l212 , 216) j Inserting the SD card to the built-in SD card slot of the PC or your SD card reader/writer directly If you intend to delete the original scenes or still pictures w hen the copying has finished, always play back the duplicate scenes or still pictures on PC b efore deletion to confirm that they have been copied normally.

When conne cting to a wireless access point, this unit will try to connect to wireless access points one aft er the other. For example, if it fails to connect to the first one, it will try to connect to the second one. (l186) ≥ If you touch [Change AP], you can switch the wireless access po int to another one that has been registered to this unit. ≥ When the connection is made correctly, the screen of this unit switches to the Live Cast Mode. ∫To send e-mails You can send e-mails containing such information as the USTREAM channel name or the scheduled broadcast date. ≥ This unit can only set the scheduled broadcast date. ( l172 ) For other settings, set them on the “LUMIX CLUB”. ≥ On the “LUMIX CLUB”, register the destination addresses of the e-mail in advance.
