    Possible cause
oThe cause of this is scale. (See P.14)It is not flakes of fluororesin.. Water with a large content of minerals in itsuch as mineral water or ionised water, ismore likely to cause a scale or white layerin the hot water.
oWhen scale adhered, boilinq soundsbecome louder.
oOdors of chlorine remain depending onthe amount of chlorine in tao water.
oWhen the unit is new, resin used in manufacture may give off a mild odor. This will disappear with use.olf the unit is placed on surfaces such as a vinvl sheet, the odor mav be carriedover into the water.
oWater has been added above maximumwater level.
oThe mesh filter may be clogged with scale.(See P.14)
    oRubber gaskets may be spoiled.

    Replacement of Parts
    Specifications
Please avoid using the unit in such conditions.. lf the unit is not used during cold conditions, make sure to empty it of water. The water left in the innercontainer may freeze causing damage.
Before calling a service supplier, please check the following possible causes.
oThe indicator lights may flash alternatelyby adding boiling water or the way thewater is supplied.
oWhen the inner container is cleaned with citricacid, citric acid have built up on the bottom.
o lf the problem is not fixed after checking the above possible causes, or if you think something is strange, dtsconnect the body plug from the unit. Wait at least 10 seconds and then re-connect the plug.oThe semi-transparent inner part inside the lid may become yellowish. This does not affect operation of the unit.oThe rattling noise in the lid is made by small ball-shaped components which prevent water from floodingout if the unit topples over.olf the room temperature is very high, the outside of the main unit may reach about 50C.
oThis is malfunction of the sensor.Contact the stores where you purchased.
Rubber gasket set (A, B, C)Replace gaskets if they crack, lose their pliancy or,for any other reasons which allow steam to escapefrom between the container and the lid.
Remove lid, unscrew 4 tapping screws and removethe lid cover. Exchange the gaskets and then placethe lid cover back and secure with the tapping screws.
