Auto-off function
Only when disc or tape is selected as the sourceTo save power, the unit turns off if it is left unused for 10 minutes.
Press [SHIFT] + [AUTO OFF].“A.OFF” is shown on the display.This function does not work if the source is tuner or AUX.
To cancelPress [SHIFT]+[AUTO OFF] again to clear “A.OFF” from the display.

The play/record timer
You can set the timer to come on at a certain time to wake you up (play timer) or to record a radio station or from the external source (record timer).The play and record timers cannot be used together.

Before connection
•  Disconnect the AC power supply cord.
•  Turn off all equipment and read the appropriate operating instructions.
•  The equipment connections described are examples only.
Enjoy the powerful movie theater and hall-like sound available with 
multiple channel audio found on DVD-Video by connecting an amplifier

•  Connect an active subwoofer (not included). 
•  Place the subwoofer as close as possible to the front center.
Adjusting the bass
Press [SHIFT] + [SUBWOOFER].
Every time you do this: SUB.W ON  SUB.W OFFAdjust the volume on the subwoofer to suit your preference.
Use outdoor antennas if radio reception is poor.
•  Disconnect the FM indoor antenna.
