For optimum listening with 5.1-channel sound, all the speakers, 
except for the subwoofer, should be the same distance from the 
seating position. If you have to place the center or surround

Up to 15 stations can each be set in the FM and AM bands.

1Press [INPUT SELECTOR] to select “FM” or 
“AM”

2Press [TUNE MODE] to select “MANUAL”.
Each time you press the button: MANUAL()PRESET
3Press [XTUNING] or [TUNINGW] to tune 
to the lowest frequency (FM: 87.9 or 87.5, 
AM: 520).
[Latin[America]: (FM: 87.50, AM: 522 or 520)
4Press and hold [MEMORY].
Release the button when “FM AUTO” or “AM AUTO” is 
displayed.

≥When connected with headphones, the following sound field systems cannot be 
used. (Excluding Sound Field Control)
≥You may experience a reduction in sound quality when these sound field 
systems are used with some sources. If this occurs, turn the sound field system 
off.

when you intend to record 5.1 ch sound on other recording equipment).

When “D.MIX” flashes on the display, the disc contains multiple-
channel signals that cannot be down-mixed. [DVD-A]This is one of the ways to get appropriate surround effects.
