Using the [Rec] Mode Menu
For details on [Rec] Mode menu settings, refer to P35.
Set the number of pixels. The higher the nu mbers of pixels, the finer the detail of the 
pictures will appear even when they  are printed onto large sheets.

Note
•
A digital picture is made of numerous dots called pixels. The higher the numbers of pixels, the 
finer the picture will be when it is printed on  a large piece of paper or displayed on a PC 
monitor.
•The Extended Optical Zoom does not work when [Macro Zoom] is set or in [Transform], 
[High Sens.], [Hi-Speed Burst], [Flash Burst], [Pin Hole] and [Photo Frame] in Scene Mode so 
the Picture Size for [ ] is not displayed.

This allows the Sensitivity to light (ISO sensit ivity) to be set. Setting to a higher figure 
enables pictures to be taken even in dark plac es without the resulting pictures coming out 
dark.

∫Auto White Balance
Depending on the conditions prevailing when pictures  are taken, the pictures may take on 
a reddish or bluish tinge. Furthermore, when a multiple number of light sources are being 
used or there is nothing with a color close to  white, Auto White Balance may not function 
properly. In this case, set the White Balance to a mode other than [AWB].

∫Setting up [ ] (AF Tracking)
Bring the subject to the AF tracking frame, and press  4.
AAF tracking frame•AF area will be displayed in yellow when a subject is recognized, and 
focus will automatically adjust continuously followi ng the subject’s 
movement (Dynamic tracking).
•AF tracking is turned off when  4 is pressed again.
