9 BEFORE USE Battery characteristics This camera-recorder uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that uses its internal chemical reaction to gener- ate electrical energy. This reaction is easily influenced by the ambient temperature and humidity, and the bat- tery’s effective operating time is reduced as the tem- perature rises or falls.
