    •The number of pictures that can be sent by [MULTI] is 
    limited.
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is  selected.

    ∫Methods for sending and images that can be sent
    •
    When you send a motion picture, w e recommend supplying power with the AC adaptor (supplied).•Some images may not be played back or sent depending on the dev ice.•For information on the playback of images, check the operating instructions of the destination 
    device.
    •For details on how to send images, refer to  P126.
    Click the followings to jump to the beginning of each menu. You can send pictures and motion pictures recorded with 
    this unit to a PC.
    You can also set this unit so that images on it are transferred  
    automatically while it is being charged.

    If the workgroup of the destination PC has been 
    changed from the standard setting, you also 
    need to change the setting of this unit in [PC 
    Connection].

    •Create a PC user account [account name (up to 254 characters) and password (up to 
    32 characters)] consisting of alphanumeric characters.
    An attempt to create a receive folder may fail if the account i ncludes non-alphanumeric characters.
    •The name of a destination folder must consist of 20 or less alp hanumeric characters.

    •Folders sorted by the sent date are created in the specified fo lder, and pictures are saved in those 
    folders.
    •If the screen for a user account and password entry appears, en ter the one you set on your PC.
    •When the computer name (NetBIOS name for Apple Mac computers) c ontains a space (blank 
    character), etc., it may not be recognized correctly.
    If a connection attempt fails, we recommend that you change the  computer name (or NetBIOS 
    name) to the one consisting of only alphanumeric characters, wi th a maximum of 15 characters.
    Sending selected images ([Send Images Stored in the Camera])
    [SINGLE] setting
    1 Press  2/1 to select the picture.
    2 Press [MENU/SET].
    [MULTI] setting
    1 Press  3/4/ 2/1 to select the picture, and then press 
    [MENU/SET]. (repeat this step)
    •
    If you press [MENU/SET] again, the setting is canceled.
    2 Press  2 to select [OK], and then press [MENU/SET].
    •The number of pictures that can be sent by [MULTI] is 
    limited.
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is  selected.

    To transfer images automatically ([Smart Transfer])
    Smart Transfer is a function that automatically transfers images in the camera to a PC.
    The transfer starts when you connect the camera to the AC adaptor (supplied).
    •
    When [Auto Transfer] is set to [ON], the camera automatically u ploads recorded images. For this 
    reason images may be uploaded unintentionally if, for example,  you share this unit with other 
    people.
    Panasonic assumes no responsibility for any damages caused by u ploaded images.
    •Panasonic assumes no responsibility for any damages caused by the use of [Smart Transfer].
    •When you bring the camera on an airplane or to a hospital, etc., set [Airplane Mode] to  [ON], and 
    turn off the camera because electromagnetic waves, etc. emitted  by the camera may interfere with 
    gauges.  (P42)
    •When a charging error occurs, Smart Transfer may not be perform ed. (P145)•Smart transfer is not available for images stored in the built- in memory.•[Smart Transfer] is not available when the memory card is locke d.

    To perform Smart Transfer, follow the steps below:

    When using Smart Transfer for the first time, follow the steps below to set it up.
    From the next time on, you can change the settings from [Set De stination] (P118).
    1Select [Wi-Fi Setup] in the [Wi-Fi] menu, and press [MENU/SET].  (P38)
    2Press  3/4  to select [Smart Transfer], and press [MENU/SET].3Select the method for connecting to a wireless access point, an d set.
    •Refer to P120 for details.
    4Set the transfer destination.
    •For details about the preparations before the transfer, refer t o “When sending images to PC” on 
    P113 .
    5Press  3/4  to select [Auto Transfer], and press [MENU/SET].6Press  3/4  to select [ON], and press [MENU/SET].
    •Only the images you recorded when [Auto Transfer] is set to [ON ] is transferred.
    You can transfer images while charging the camera.
    Preparation:
    Configure [Smart Transfer] in advance. (P117)
    1Turn off the camera.2(When using a power outlet)
    Connect the AC adaptor (supplied) and this camera with the USB  connection cable 
    (supplied), and insert the AC adaptor (supplied) into the power  outlet.
    (When using a PC)
    Connect this unit to a PC by using the USB connection cable (su pplied).
    •
    Smart Transfer will start.
    (When the remaining battery power is low, charging may be given  the priority.)
    •Depending on the specifications of the PC, [Smart Transfer] may fail.
    •If there are images that are not transferred when [Auto Transfer] is set to [OFF], the message that 
    confirms whether to transfer these images is displayed. Select a desired option.
    Configuring [Smart Transfer]
    1Press  3/4 to select a PC you want to connect, and then press [MENU/SET].
    2 Press  3/4 to select the folder you want to send, and then press [MENU/SE T].

    About Connections
    You can select a connection method after selecting a Wi-Fi function and a destination.
    When connecting with the same settings as the previous ones, you can use the Wi-Fi function 
    quickly by connecting via [History Connection] or  [Favorite Connection].

    settings related to the connection and security of wireless LAN  
    devices.
    To check if the wireless access point you are using is compatib le with 
    WPS, refer to the manual of the wireless access point.
