    ∫How to set each item
    When you select an item, the setting screen will be displayed.
    •
    When [Noise Reduction], [i.Resolution] or [Sharpness] is select ed, the comparison screen 
    cannot be displayed.
    •If you touch the picture twice, the picture will be enlarged. I f you touch the picture twice when it 
    is enlarged, it will be reduced to the original size.
    On the comparison screen, you can use the following operations  to make adjustments:ACurrent setting
    •If you touch the picture at the center, it will be enlarged. If  you touch [ ], the picture will be 
    reduced to the original size.
    [Setup] setting
    When you select an item, the screen that asks you to select [Re instate Adjustments], 
    [Color Space], or [Picture Size] will be displayed.
    1 Press  3/4  to select an item, and press [MENU/SET].
    •
    If you select [Reinstate Adjustments], a confirmation screen wi ll be displayed. Selecting 
    [Yes] will execute the operation and return you to the item sel ection screen.
    2Press  3/4  to select a setting, and press [MENU/SET].

    What you can do with the Wi-FiR function
    •The camera cannot be used to connect to a public wireless LAN connection.
    This owner's manual refer to both smartphones and tablets as “smartphones” from this 
    point on unless noted otherwise.

    For details, refer to the “Owner’s Manual for advanced features  (PDF  format)”.
    ∫About the [Wi-Fi] button
    In this owner's manual, a function button to which [Wi-Fi] is 
    assigned is referred to as the [Wi-Fi] button. (At the time of 
    purchase, [Wi-Fi] is assigned to [Fn6].)

    Connecting to a smartphone/tablet
    You can easily set up a direct connection to your smartphone wi thout entering a password.
    1Select the menu on the camera. (P23)
    •
    The information required for connecting the smartphone to 
    this unit (SSID) is displayed.

    •You can also display the information by pressing [Wi-Fi] on 
    the camera.
    2Turn on the Wi-Fi function in the setting menu of the 
    smartphone.
    3Select the SSID displayed on the screen of the camera.
    4On the smartphone, start “ Image App ”.
    •The connection confirmation screen is displayed on the camera. 
    Select [Yes]. (Only when connecting for the first time)
    When [Wi-Fi Password] is set to the default setting [OFF], thir d parties may intercept 
    Wi-Fi radio waves and collect the content of communications. Se t [Wi-Fi Password] to 
    [ON] to enable the password.

    1Connect the smartphone to a network.

    [Snap Movie] motion pictures  with recent recording dates will b e selected and 
    automatically sent to the smartphone.
    •When motion pictures with recent recording dates are not availa ble, a screen that 
    lets you select motion pictures will be displayed. Select motio n pictures and send 
    them.

    ∫ Installing supplied software
    •Before inserting the DVD, close all running applications.
    1Check the environment of your PC.
    •For details about information such as the operating environment  or operating method, 
    refer to the “Owner’s Manual for advanced features (PDF  format) ” or the operating 
    instructions for the respective software programs.
    2Insert the DVD with the supplied software.
    •If the automatic playback screen is displayed, you can display  the menu by selecting and 
    executing [Launcher.exe].
    •In Windows 8/Windows 8.1, you can display the menu by clicking a  message that is 
    displayed after inserting the DVD and then selecting and executing [Launcher.exe].
    •You can also display the menu by double-clicking [SFMXXXX] in [Computer] (XXXX 
    differs depending on the model).
    3Click [Applications].
    4Click on the [Recommended Installation] on the install menu to  install.
    •Proceed with installation according to messages appearing on th e screen.
    •The software compatible with your PC will be installed.•On the Mac, SILKYPIX can be installed manually.1Insert the DVD with the supplied software.
    2 Double-click the application folder on the DVD.
