    Playback/Editing
    The images sorted into the category or images set as favorite are played back.
    ∫To cancel filtering
    1Press  3 while playing back one picture at a time.2Press  3/4  to select [Filtering Off] and then press [MENU/SET].
    •Filtering is also canceled by turning off the camera or switching to Recording Mode.
    [Filtering Play]

    [Picture Only] Only still pictures are played back.
    [Video Only] Only motion pictures are played back.
    [Category 
    Selection] This mode allows you to search images by Scene Mode or other categories (such 
    as [Portrait], [Scenery] or [Night Scenery]) and sort the pictures into each of the 
    categories. You can then play back the pictures in each category.
    [Select Date] You can play back pictures taken on each date.
    [Favorite] You can play back the pictures you have set as [Favorite]  (P114).

    SET] to set.

    You can play back only the category in which an image has been found.

    If there were no pictures recorded during a month, that month is not 
    displayed.
    ∫ Changing the filtering date
    1Press  3 while playing back one picture at a time.2Press  3/4  to select [Change Date] and then press [MENU/SET].

    The recording date of the picture selected in the playback screen becomes the date selected when 
    the calendar screen is first displayed.
    •If there are multiple pictures with the same record ing date, the first picture recorded on that day is 
    displayed.
    •You can display the calendar between January 2000 and December 2099.•If the date is not set in the camera, the recording date is set as January 1st, 2013.
    •If you take pictures after setting the travel destination in [World Time], the pictures are displayed by 
    the dates at the travel destination in Calendar Playback.
    You can play back pictures taken on each date.

    You can search for images by recorded date.
    •
    The recording date of the picture selected in the playback screen becomes the date selected when 
    the calendar screen is first displayed.
    •If there are multiple pictures with the same recording date, the first picture recorded on that day is 
    displayed.
    •You can display the calendar between January 2000 and December 2099.
    •If the date is not set in the camera, the recording date is set as January 1st, 2013.•If you take pictures after setting the travel destination in [World Time], the pictures are displayed by 
    the dates at the travel destination in Calendar Playback.

    •Pictures are displayed with Multi Playback (30 screens). The cursor 
    appears on the picture at the beginning of the selected date.
    Press 3/ 4/2/1  to select a picture and then press 
    [MENU/SET].
    •To continue the search, return to the previous screen with [W] of the zoom 
    button.

    Having Fun with Recorded Pictures (Retouch)
    You can adjust the color tone of the pictures taken, or add your preferred effects.
    •The processed pictures are newly generated, so be sure that you have enough space in the built-in 
    memory or on the card. Note also that processing  will not be possible if the Write-Protect switch of 
    the card is in the [LOCK] position.
    •Effects may be difficult to see depending on the picture.
    •Pictures taken with other cameras may not be processed.
    The brightness and color of the pictures taken can be balanced.
    ¢ These pictures are examples to show the effect.
    Press 2/ 1 to select a picture, and then press 3 .
    •If you have filtered images for playback by using [Slide Show]   (P99) or [Filtering Play]  
    (P101) , the selection screen appears. You can proceed to step 2 by selecting  [Retouch] with 
    3 /4 , and then pressing  [MENU/SET].
    •You can also proceed to step 2 by selecting [Retouch] from the [Playback] menu.
    Press 3/ 4 to select [Auto Retouch], and then press [MENU/SET].
    Press 3/ 4 to select [ON], and then press [MENU/SET].
    •If you select [OFF], an image with no effect is displayed. If you are not going to add an effect, 
    exit the menu.
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    •Depending on the picture, noise may be emphasized by [Auto Retouch].
    •It may not be possible to perform [Auto Retouch] on pictures which have already been retouched.•The following pictures cannot be processed:–Motion pictures
    –Pictures taken in [Panorama Shot]•Picture groups taken with [Time Lapse Shot] cannot be processed on a group-by-group basis.

    You can add your desired effects to the pictures that you have taken.
    Press 2/1 to select a picture, and then press 3 .
    •If you have filtered images for playback by using [Slide Show]   (P99) or [Filtering Play]  
    (P101) , the selection screen appears. You can proceed to step 2 by selecting  [Retouch] with 
    3 /4 , and then pressing  [MENU/SET].
    •You can also proceed to step 2 by selecting [Retouch] from the [Playback] menu.
    Press 3/ 4 to select [Creative Retouch], and then press [MENU/SET].
    Press 3/ 4 to select image effects and then press [MENU/SET].
    •You can select the item from the following options that are also available in the Creative 
    Control mode. 
    [Expressive]/[Retro]/[High Key]/[Low Key]/[Sepia]/[Dynamic Monochrome]/[Impressive Art]/
    [High Dynamic]/[Cross Process]/[Toy Effect]/[Miniature Effect]/[One Point Color]
    •A brief description of selected image effect appears when you press [DISP.].•Read P63–66  for details on the respective effects.
    •To set the color you want to keep by using [One Point Color], move 
    the frame at the center of the screen to the desired color with  3/4/
    2 /1 , and then press [MENU/SET].
    •If you select [OFF], an image with no effect is displayed. To proceed 
    with the retouch operation, select another image effect. If you are not 
    going to add any effect, exit the menu.
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    •The image effect may appear weak compared to the effect given by the Creative Control Mode.•The following pictures cannot be processed:
    –Motion pictures–Pictures taken in [Panorama Shot]•Picture groups taken with [Time Lapse Shot] cannot be processed on a group-by-group basis.

    You can recreate the red tinge of the pictures taken underwater.
    ¢These pictures are examples to show the effect.
    Press 2/ 1 to select a picture, and then press 3 .
    •If you have filtered images for playback by using [Slide Show]   (P99) or [Filtering Play]  
    (P101) , the selection screen appears. You can proceed to step 2 by selecting  [Retouch] with 
    3 /4 , and then pressing  [MENU/SET].
    •You can also proceed to step 2 by selecting [Retouch] from the [Playback] menu.
    Press 3/ 4 to select [Color Reproduction], and then press [MENU/SET].
    Press 3/ 4 to select the effect,  and then press [MENU/SET].
    •You can select from three levels of effect.•If you select [OFF], an image with no effect is displayed. To proceed with the 
    [Color Reproduction] operation, select another image effect. If you are not going to add any 
    effect, exit the menu.
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    •The effect may be weaker than that of [Color Reproduction] in the [Rec] menu.•The following pictures cannot be processed:
    –Motion pictures–Pictures taken in [Panorama Shot]•Picture groups taken with [Time Lapse Shot] cannot be processed on a group-by-group basis.

    Playback/Editing
    Using the [Playback] Menu
    You can perform actions like cropping recorded pictures, as well as set up the protection of 
    recorded images, etc.
    •
    With [Text Stamp], [Retouch], [Time Lapse Video],  [Resize] or [Cropping] a new edited picture is 
    created. A new picture cannot be created if there is no free space on the built-in memory or the card 
    so we recommend checking that there is free space and then editing the picture.
    You can stamp the recording date/time, name, location or travel date onto the recorded 
    pictures.
    Select [Text Stamp] on the [Playback] menu.
    Press 3/ 4 to select [SINGLE] or [MULTI] and then press [MENU/SET].
    Press 3/ 4 to select [Set], and then press [MENU/SET].
    Press 3/ 4 to select text stamp items, and then press [MENU/SET].
    [Text Stamp]
    Select the picture, and then press 
    [MENU/SET] to set.
    •[‘ ] is displayed on pictures already with date 
    or text stamped.
    [MULTI] setting
    Press [DISP.] to set (repeat), and then 
    press [MENU/SET] to set.
    •
    The setting is canceled when [DISP.] is pressed 
    again.
    [SINGLE] [MULTI]
    Press  2/1  to 
    select the picture. Press 
    3/4/ 2/1 to 
    select the pictures.

    Press 3/4 to select the settings, and then press [MENU/SET].
    Press [ ].
    Press 3  to select [OK], and then press [MENU/SET].
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected. 
    Exit the menu after it is executed.
    •When you print pictures stamped with text, the date will be printed over the stamped text if you 
    specify printing of the date at the photo shop or on the printer.
    •You can set up to 100 pictures at one time in [MULTI].•The picture quality may deteriorate when text stamping is carried out.
    •Depending on the printer being used, some characters may be cut at printing. Check before printing.•When text is stamped onto the 0.3M pictures, it is difficult to read it.•When you stamp pictures in a group, the stamped ones are saved separately from the original ones 
    in the group.
    •Text and dates cannot be stamped on the pictures in the following cases.–Motion pictures
    –Pictures taken in [Panorama Shot]–Pictures recorded without setting the clock–Pictures with date or text stamped
    –Pictures recorded with other equipment

    You can add the effect of  [Auto Retouch], [Creative Retouch], or [Color Reproduction] to 
    recorded pictures .
    •
    Refer to P105– 107 for details.
    Recorded motion picture can be divided in two. It is recommended for when you want to divide a 
    part you need with a part you do not need.
    It cannot be restored once divided.
    •
    [Video Divide] may not be performed on motion pictures recorded with other equipment.•Motion pictures cannot be divided at a location  close to the start or end of the motion picture.
    •The order of images will change if motion pictures are divided.
    It is recommended to search these motion pictur es by using [Calendar] or [Video Only] in the 
    [Filtering Play].
    •Motion pictures with a short recording time cannot be divided.
    [Retouch]
    [Video Divide]
    Select [Video Divide] on the [Playback] menu.
    Press 2/ 1 to select the motion picture to divide, and then press [MENU/
    SET].
    Press 3 at the location to divide.
    •Motion picture is played back from the same location when  3 is 
    pressed again.
    •You can finely adjust the location for division by pressing 2 /1 while 
    the motion picture is paused.
    Press 4.
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected. 
    Exit the menu after it is executed.
    •Motion picture may be lost if the card or battery is removed while processing the dividing.
