3 CHAPTER 1 Setting Up Your Handheld This chapter explains how to charge and set up your handheld, install Palm™ Desktop software on your desktop computer, and perform a HotSync ® operation. It also lists system requirements. If you are upgrading from another Palm OS ® handheld, see “Upgrading from another Palm OS handheld” later in this chapter. Step 3: Connect the HotSync cable Connect the HotSync cable to your handheld and your computer.
