Appendices 41 Appendices Replacing the Projection Lamp The projection lamp should be replaced when it burns out. It should only be replaced with a certified replacement part, which you can order from your local dealer. Important: 1. The lamp contains a certain amount of mercury and should be disposed of according to local or- dinance regulations. 2. Appendices 44 Resetting the Lamp After replacing the lamp, you should reset the lamp hour counter to zero. Refer to the following: 1. Press the Menu button to open the Image menu. 2. Press to navigate to the OPTIONS menu. 3. Press to navigate to Lamp Setting and then press Enter. 4. Navigate down to Lamp Reset and then press or Enter. 5. A Confirm Lamp Reset message displays. Select Yes to confirm the lamp reset.

Appendices 45 Cleaning the Projector Cleaning the projector to remove dust and gr ime will help ensure trouble-free operation. Warning: 1.
