English 11 English 11 Installation Power/Standby Powering On the Projector 1.Remove the lens cap. 2.Ensure that the power cord and signal cable are securely connected. The Power LED will turn red. 3.Turn on the lamp by pressing “Power/Standby” button on the control panel. n The startup screen will display for 30 seconds and the Power LED will flash green. When the startup screen disappears, the Power LED will turn green. 4.Turn on your source (computer, notebook, video player, etc.). The projector will detect your source automatically. ™If you connect multiple sources at the same time, use the “Source” button on the control panel to switch. Powering On/Off the Projector ™Turn on the projector first and then the signal sources. 1
English 12 English 12 Installation Warning Indicator ™When the “TEMP” indicator turns red, it indicates the projector has overheated. The projector will automatically shut itself down. See page 31. ™When the “LAMP” indicator flashes red (0.5 second intervals), it indicates a problem with the lamp. Turn off the projector and disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet, then contact your local dealer or our service center. See page 31. ™When the “LAMP” indicator flashes red (1 second intervals), it indicates the fan failed. Stop using the projector and disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet, then contact your local dealer or our service center. See page 31. Powering Off the Projector 1.Press the “Power/Standby” button to turn off the projector lamp, you will see a message “Wait 2 minutes before you can switch on again” on the on-screen display. 2.Press the “Power/Standby” button again to confirm. Otherwise the message will disappear after 10 seconds. 3.The cooling fans continue to operate for about 120 seconds for cooling cycle and the Power LED will turn red. When the light stops flashing, the projector has entered standby mode. If you wish to turn the projector back on, you must wait until the projector has completed the cooling cycle and has entered standby mode. Once in standby mode, simply press “Power/Standby” button to restart the projector. 4.Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet and the projector. 5.Do not turn on the projector immediately following a power off procedure.
English 13 English 13 Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Projector Image Height Tilt Adjusting Wheel Elevator Foot 13 Elevator Button The projector is equipped with an elevator foot for adjusting the image height. To raise the image: 1.Press the elevator button n. 2.Raise the image to the desired height angle o, then release the button to lock the elevator foot into position. 3.Use p to fine-tune the display angle. To lower the image: 1.Press the elevator button. 2.Lower the image, then release the button to lock the elevator foot into position. 3.Use p to fine-tune the display angle. Installation 1 2
English 14 English 14 Focus Ring Zoom Ring Adjusting the Projector Zoom / Focus You may turn the zoom ring to zoom in or out. To focus the image, rotate the focus ring until the image is clear. The projector will focus at distances from 4.9 to 32.8 feet (1.5 to 10.0 meters). Installation
English 15 English 15 User Controls Remote Control Control Panel Control Panel & Remote Control There are two ways for you to control the functions: Remote Control and Control Panel. Using the Control Panel Power/Standby 4Refer to the “Power On/Off the Projector” section on pages 11-12. Source 4Press “Source” to choose RGB, Component-p, Component-i, S-Video, Composite Video and HDTV sources. Menu 4Press “Menu” to launch the on screen display (OSD) menu. To exit OSD, press “Menu” again. Keystone / 4Adjusts image distortion caused by tilting the projector (±16 degrees). Four Directional Select Keys 4Use to select items or make adjustments to your selection. Enter 4Confirm your selection of items. Re-Sync (Only Analog RGB signal valid) 4Automatically synchronizes the projector to the input source.

Re-Sync 4Automatically synchronizes the projector to the input source. Display Hide 4“Hide” immediately turns the screen gray. Press “Hide” a second time to restore the display. Freeze 4Press “Freeze” to pause the screen image. 16 : 9 4Scale the image at a 16:9 aspect ratio. Window 4Enable the viewing of a 4:3 PC output signal. LTR-BOX (Letterbox) 4Enable the viewing of a 2.35:1 or 1.85:1 movie without black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Some of the original image will be lost from the up and down edges of the screen. Zoom In /Zoom Out 4Press “Zoom In” or “zoom Out” button to zoom in or zoom out of an image. English 17 English 17 User Controls CONT (Contrast) 4Controls the degree of difference between the lightest and darkest parts of the picture. MODE (Display Mode) 4Select the display mode from Cinema, Normal, Vivid, Dynamic and User. COLOR (Colour) 4Adjust a video image from black and white to fully satu rated color. RGB Adjustment 4Adjust the R (Red), G (Green), or B (Blue) for brightness and contrast. Reset 4Reset the “Keystone” or “Zoom” to factory default settings. LOCK (Source Lock) 4Select auto detection all connector ports or lock current connector port. VGA 4Press “VGA” to change source to VGA connector. This connector supports Analog RGB, YPbPr (480p/576p/720p/ 1080i), YCbCr (480i/576i) and RGBsync. DVI-I 4Press “DVI-I” to change source to DVI-I connector. This connector supports Digital RGB, Analog RGB, YPbPr (480p/ 576p/720p/1080i), YCbCr (480i/576i) and HDCP signal. YPbPr (Component Source) 4Press “YPbPr” to change source to component connector. This connector supports YPbPr (480p/576p/720p/1080i) and YCbCr (480i/576i). S-Video 4Press “S-Video” to change source to S-Video source. Video (Composite Source) 4Press “Video” to change source to Composite Video source.
English 18 English 18 The Projector has multilingual On Screen Display menus that allow you to make image adjustments and change a variety of settings. The projector will automatically detect the source. How to operate 1.To open the OSD menu, press “Menu ” on the Remote Control or Control Panel. 2.When OSD is displayed, use keys to select any item in the main menu. While making a selection on a particular page, press key to enter sub menu. 3.Use keys to select the desired item and adjust the settings by key. 4.Select the next item to be adjusted in the sub menu and adjust as described above. 5.Press “Menu” to confirm, and the screen will return to the main menu. 6.To exit, press “Menu”again. If you don’t press any key, the projector will automatically disappear after 30 seconds. The OSD menu will close and the projector will automatically save the new settings.
