messages. All messages are organised into folders.
Before you can send any text, picture, or e-mail message, you need to save your

Tip: To quickly open the Create message menu, press   in standby 
mode.

Writing and sending e-mailBefore you can send e-mail via SMS, you need to save the settings for sending e-
mail, see Message settings on page 76. For availability and subscription to the e-
mail service, contact your network operator or service provider. To save an e-mail 
address in the phone book, see Saving multiple numbers and text items per name

Reading and replying to a message or an e-mailWhen you have received a message or an e-mail, the indicator   and the 
number of new messages followed by message(s) received is shown.
The blinking   indicates that the message memory is full. Before you can receive 
new messages, delete some of your old messages in the Inbox folder.

message in the reply, or select a standard answer to be included in the reply, or 
select Empty screen.

Inserting a picture into a text message
 When you are writing or replying to a message, press Options. Select Insert 
picture and select a picture to view it. Press Insert to insert the picture into 
your message. The   indicator in the header of the message indicates that a 
picture has been attached. The number of characters that you can enter in a 
message, depends on the size of the picture.

A multimedia message can contain text, picture and sound. The phone supports 
multimedia messages that are up to 45 KB in size. If the maximum size is 
exceeded, the phone may not be able to receive the message. Depending on the 
network, you may receive a text message that includes an Internet address where 
you can view the multimedia message.
If the message contains a picture, the phone scales it down to fit the display area.
