Selecting Multiple Pictures
Follow the steps below to select multiple pictures
for a print set (c90), deletion (c91), protection
from deletion (c91), transfer (c92), copying
between internal memory and the memory card
(c93), or for the welcome screen (c96).
The process for protecting multiple pictures is
shown here as example.
1Press the multi selector IJ to choose a
desired picture.

A Delete
The delete menu contains the options shown
below.
If no memory card is inserted in the camera, pic-
tures in the internal memory will be deleted.
If a memory card is inserted, pictures on the mem-
ory card will be deleted.
kNotes on Deletion
• Once deleted, pictures cannot be recovered. Transfer important images to a computer
before deletion.
• Pictures marked with the D icon are protected and cannot be deleted.

E Transfer Marking
When the camera is connected to a computer via
the supplied USB cable and E (d) is pressed to
transfer pictures, only pictures marked with a E
icon are transferred (c66). At the default setting,
all pictures are marked for transfer.
Pictures selected for transfer are recognized by the E icon (c7).

Copy pictures between the internal memory and a
memory card.
The options of this menu allows you to copy the
specified pictures or all pictures in the internal
memory or on the memory card.

Displaying the Setup Menu
* To display the setup menu in scene mode (c38), one-touch portrait mode (c44),
voice recording mode (c59) or movie mode (c54), first display the menu for that
mode and then choose [Set up].
R Menus
Choose whether the initial menus displayed for the
shooting menu, scene menu, movie menu, one-
touch portrait menu, and playback menu use text

V Welcome Screen
You can select the welcome screen to be displayed
when the camera is turned on.

confirmation dialog.

Set the camera clock and choose home and travel
destination time zones.
Setting Travel Destination Time Zone
1Press the multi selector GH to choose
[Time zone] and press d.
The time zone menu is displayed.
For information on using the multi selector, see “The
Multi Selector” (c8).
2Press GH to choose Y and press d.
The date and time displayed on the monitor changes
according to the region currently selected.
