15 The COOL-STATION and AC Adapter First Steps The AC Adapter The supplied EH-64 AC adapter can: • When the camera is turned on, power the camera from a power outlet. • When the camera is turned off, charge the battery in the camera (c18). It can also be used to power the camera for playback, data transfer, or print- ing (recommended). 16 First Steps Inserting the Battery The camera uses a rechargeable EN-EL8 lithium-ion battery (supplied). Charge the battery before first use or when the battery is running low (c18). 1Open the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover. 2Insert the battery.
