79 Shooting Options: The Shooting Menu Shooting, Playback and Setup Menus BNote on Multi-shot 16 Smear (A115) visible in the monitor when shooting with Multi-shot 16 is visible in the saved image. Avoiding bright objects such as the sun, reflections of the sun, and electric lights is recommended to avoid smear effects. F Color Options Make colors more vivid or record pictures in monochrome. The icon for the current setting is displayed in the monitor when the camera is in shooting mode (A8). No icon is displayed when Standard color is selected. The effects of the current setting can be previewed in the monitor. 82 Playback Options: The Playback Menu Shooting, Playback and Setup Menus Selecting Multiple Pictures The screen shown at right will be displayed in the menus (shown below) when choosing pictures. Playback menu: Print set: Select images (A70) Delete: Erase selected images (A84) Setup menu: Welcome screen: Select an image (A88) Protect (A106) Rotate image (A107) Copy: Selected images (A108) Follow the procedure described below to choose the pictures. 1Press the multi selector J or K to choose the desired picture. Only one picture can be selected for Rotate image and Welcome screen. Proceed to step 3. Rotate the zoom control to g (i) to switch to full-frame playback. Rotate the zoom control to f (h) to switch back to thumbnail display. 2Press H or I to select ON or OFF (or the number of copies). When ON is selected, a check mark (y) is displayed in the top left corner of the current picture. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to select additional pictures. 3To fix the selection of pictures, press k. To repeat the slide show automatically, enable Loop and press k before choosing Start. The check mark (w) will be added to the loop option when enabled. 2The slide show begins. While the slide show is in progress, the following operations can be performed: •During playback, press the multi selector K to display the next image and J to display the previous image (press and hold K or J to fast-forward or rewind, respectively). •Press k to pause the slide show. 3Choose End or Restart. When the slide show ends or is paused, choose End and press k to return to the playback menu, or choose Restart to play the slide show again. Press dMz (setup menu) (A86)Mc Welcome screen None (default setting) The welcome screen is not displayed when the camera is turned on; the shooting mode or playback mode screen is displayed. COOLPIX The welcome screen is displayed when the camera is turned on, then the shooting mode or playback mode screen is displayed. Select an image An image captured with this camera is used as the welcome screen. When the image selection screen is displayed (A82), select the desired image and press k to register the image as the welcome screen. •As the selected image is stored in the camera, the image will appear in the welcome screen even if the original picture is deleted. •Pictures taken at an Image mode setting (A74) of P 3968×2232 for L22 or P 3200×1800 for L21, as well as pictures that are 320×240 or smaller after being edited using small picture (A53) or crop (A54), cannot be used.
