    This chapter describes how to configure your N300 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem \
    Router DGN2200M Mobile Edition Internet connection. For help with installation,\

    Hardware Features
    This section acquaints you with the physical aspects of your N300 Wirele\
    ss ADSL2+ Modem 
    Router.
    Router Stand
    Since the router is a vertical-only device, use the stand to position yo\
    ur wireless modem 
    router upright.
    To assemble the router and its stand:
    1. 
    Insert the tabs of the stand into the slot on the bottom of your router.\
    2. Place your router near an AC power outlet in a location where you can co\
    nnect cables as 
    needed for your home network. 
    If you are planning to connect to the Internet using mobile broadband, t\
    he router needs to 
    be located where you can receive a strong mobile broadband signal while \
    indoors.

    Router Front Panel
    The wireless modem router front panel contains control buttons and statu\
    s LEDs. 
    Internet
    Power USB Mobile Broadband WPS
    DSL
    Ethernet LAN Ports WiFi On/Off
    You can use the LEDs to verify status and connections. The following tab\
    le lists and 
    describes each LED and button on the front panel of the wireless modem r\
    outer.

    Button/LEDActivityDescription
    WPS
    Press this button to open a 2-minute window for the wireless modem route\
    r to connect with 
    other WPS-enabled devices. For more information about using the WPS meth\
    od to implement 
    security, see  Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) Method on page  32.
    Solid green WPS wireless security is being enabled.
    Blinking green The device is in the 2-minute interval to synchronize security.
    Off WPS is not being set or enabled.

    WiFTurn the wireless radio in the wireless modem router on and off. The wire\
    less radio is on by 
    default. The LED located below this button indicates if the wireless rad\
    io is on or off.
    Solid green
    Indicates that the wireless port is initialized.
    Blinking green Data is being transmitted or received over the wireless link.
    Off The wireless access point is turned off. 
    Internet Port
    Solid green There is an Internet session.
    Solid red There is no Internet connection.
    Blinking green Data is being transmitted over the Internet connection.
    Blinking green and red Traffic meter limit has been reached.
    Off No Internet connection detected or device in bridge mode.
    DSL 
    Solid green The ADSL port is synchronized with an ISP’s network access 
    device.
    Blinking green Indicates ADSL training—ADSL is synchronizing with the DSLAM.
    Off The unit is off, or there is no IP connection.
    USB 
    Off • No USB device connected. 
    • “Safely Remove Hardware” has been activated. 
    • An error has occurred with the device. 
    Solid blue USB device is ready to use. 
    Blinking blue USB device is in use. 
    LAN Ports
    Solid green The local Ethernet ports have detected wired links with computers.
    Blinking Data is being transmitted or received.
    Off No link is detected on these ports.
    Power
    Solid green The router is powered on and operating normally.
    Solid amber POST (power-on self-test) in progress.
    Off Power is not supplied to the router.
    Restore Factory Settings 
    button Press the 
    Restore Factory Settings  button for 6 seconds. The 
    Power LED lights briefly. When the button is released, the LED 
    blinks red three times and then turns green as the router resets to 
    the factory defaults.
