Disassembly/Assembly 38 Battery Attach the Battery1. With the radio off, fit the three extensions at the bottom of the battery into the bottom slots on the radio. 2. Press the belt clip downward until you clear a “click.” Remove the Belt Clip1. Use a flat-bladed object to press the belt clip tab away from the battery. 2. Disassembly/Assembly 40 Universal Connector CoverThe universal connector cover is located on the antenna side of the radio. It is used to cover the connector when not in use. NOTE:To prevent damage to the connector, shield it with the connector cover when not in use. Remove the Universal Connector Cover1. Disassembly/Assembly 41 Remote Speaker Microphone AdapterThe Remote Speaker Microphone (RSM) adapter is located on the back of the radio, just above the battery. It must be used to connect the RSM to the radio. If the RSM is not used, the adapter must be removed.
