3.6VDC NiMH battery pack The battery lock is on the rear next to the belt clip. The lock can be very stiff and difficult to move. The battery must be locked or it will not stay securely attached to the pager.
General charging and usage •A fully charged battery will run the pager for several days under normal conditions. • The NiMH rechargeable battery is rated for 500 charge cycles. DES Policy change Chester County Department of Emergency Services is now allowing agencies to make programming changes to pagers owned by the county. The Minitor V programming software is available free of charge from Motorola’s Web site. If an agency desires to make programming changes to its pagers, it is their responsibility to acquire the programming dock and cable. Should changes in programming made by a department cause the pager to not function properly and require DES to reprogram the unit, service charges may apply.
Chester County Minitor V Programming If your agency previously had CCDES program your departments pagers in a custom configuration, the newly issued Minitor V pagers you receive will mirror that same configuration. I.e. - Some departments wanted vibrate on “B”. If your agency made programming changes that CCDES was not aware of, the new pagers will not have those programming options. Responders that have multiple station affiliations will need to have additional tones added to their pager from the primary agency. One responder should only have one pager, regardless of how many stations they respond with .
Minitor V Programming Options The new Motorola Minitor V pagers have more options for programming than previous models.
