When a call is received the Minitor V will either alert or vibrate. 
(depending on the position of the function switch)
 
Different alert sounds are programmable for different tone sets.  
(short beeps, long beeps, continuous  tone, etc.) 
The pager will immediately begin to monitor the F1 dispatch 
frequency. 
To silence the pager and place it back in to 
Alert  mode press the 
reset button.

Monitor mode 
The switch position for monitor mode and the channels being 
monitored is dependent on individual pager programming. 
Always on “C”, and most pagers on “B” also. 
During priority scan of F1 &  F2 channels the F1 dispatch channel 
always takes priority. If you are listening to a transmission on 
the F2 radio rebroadcast and a page is transmitted on the F1 
channel, the pager will revert to the F1 channel . This is to 
ensure that the pager never misses an alert.

C. Monitor, both F1 and F2 in priority scan mode.  
• 160.185MHz  - F1 dispatch  
• 159.600MHz or 159.735MHz  – F2 800 fire rebroadcast  
D. Vibrate alert, same as “A” but no audible alert tone.  
Standard pagers with only tones for a single 
department. This is the vast majority of pagers in 
Chester County

A. Alert (standby) all programmed tones.  
B. Alert (standby) with “duty” tone off.  
C. Monitor, both F1 and F2 in priority  scan mode.

• 159.600MHz or 159.735MHz  – F2 800 fire rebroadcast  
D. Vibrate alert, same as “A” but no audible alert tone.  
 
Pagers programmed this way do not have the ability to monitor only the F1 dispatch 
channel.

Stored voice playback feature 
Press the small button in the center of the function switch to 
initiate  playback of stored audio. 
 
• The most recent message will 
play first.  
• Old stored messages will  be 
played at the end of new ones, 
if the old voice message was 
never cleared.  
• To clear the stored messages 
cycle the power off and on for 
a moment.  
• When there is a new unread 
message the red LED indicator 
turns on.
