Java Applications and GPS Enabled
Setting Privacy for Each Java Application
After a given Java application attempts to access your phone’slocationforthe
first time, you will have the opportunity to set GPS Enabled privacy settings for
that Java application from the Java Apps menu.
 The Java application always has permission access to your phone ’s
location, without notifying you.
 When the Java application requests access to your phone ’s location, you
will be prompted to grant or deny permission...

Java Apps Memory
If you want to use custom Java applications in your phone, you must have
enough memory in your phone to store and run the custom application you want.
If you do not have enough memory, you can deinstall an application (see
“Deinstalling Java Apps”on page 162) or delete a Voice Record (see“Locking/
Unlocking a Voice Record”on page 150) to free some memory.

You can customize youri88sphone to fit the way you want to use it.
This section includes:
Settings
The phone’s Settings menu enables you to control many of the phone’sfeatures
and functions, including display properties, message handling, and security
features.
To access the Settings menu:
NOTE: Changes to some of your phone’s Settings will not take effect if

Personalize—controls which features are most accessible when you turn
on your phone.
Initial Setup—sets a variety of display features including the language
displayed, the size of the characters on the text screen, the screen contrast,
time and date formats, current year, backlight, status light, and scrolling.

Notification Types
When you set a notification type, you have these options:
Ring—the phone rings to notify you.
Vi b e—the phone vibrates to notify you.
Vi b e/ R in g—the phone vibrates and then rings to notify you. This option
is only available for calls on Line 1 and Line 2.
Silent—the phone does not ring to notify you.
To set a notification type:
Phone Setup
Phone Setup sets some basic phone features. Access Phone Setup to set the
following options:

In Call Setup
In Call Setup sets the in-call timer, message notification, and call waiting
features.
TheIn Call Timeroption turns the following features on and off:
Display—the duration of each call displays on the phone’s screen
when the call ends.
Minute Beep—an audible beep occurs every minute of an active call
at the 50 second mark.
TheNotificationsoption controls message notification during calls:
