Gateway field upgrades are typically performed via CMS, which is the gateway remote management system. 
The following procedure describes how to perfor m a local upgrade; however, because the gateway’s 
configuration information is not retained when perf orming a local upgrade, upgrading via CMS is the 
preferred method. Perform the local upgrade  only if you cannot access the broadband link to upgrade via 
CMS, or the target release is not published on CMS.
