Expand
By pressing the EXPAND button on the remote control, 
you can magnify the image to view the details.
•  The EXPAND mode doesn’t function with some 
input signals. For details, see page 43.
•  The EXPAND mode doesn’t work with video or 
S-video signal. •  When the COMPUTER 1 or COMPUTER 2 button 
on the remote control or the COMPUTER button on 
the control panel is pressed, the PinP mode will be 
canceled. 
•  The PinP mode is available only when the ASPECT 
ratio is set to AUTO.

Mouse remote control
By connecting to personal computer through the USB port, you can operate your computer with the projector remote 
control.

•  You can use the mouse remote control function with a computer supporting USB only. 
•  When the lamp is turned ON, the computer connected with the USB cable may not work correctly. In this case, 
restart the computer.
•  The mouse doesn’t function for a while after the power is turned on....

Supervising and controlling by computer
You can supervise and control the projector’s operation using a personal computer via a LAN network. 
•  To supervise and control the projector, install the software “Mitsubishi Projector Control Device Installer *” con-
tained in the attached CD-ROM. For the installation procedure and usage of the software, see “User Manual for

Replacing the lamp
This projector is equipped with a lamp to project images. This lamp is a consumable. It may burn out or its brightness 
may decrease during use. In such cases, replace the lamp with a new one as soon as possible. Be sure to replace the 
lamp with a new lamp separately sold that is exclusive to this projector. Contact your dealer for purchase of the lamp.

To replace the lamp: 
1.  Loosen the screw (a) using a Phillips screwdriver (+), and 
remove the lamp cover (b).
2.  Loosen the screws (c) using a Phillips screwdriver (+).
3. Pull the handle. 
4.  Pull out the lamp box by the handle while holding the 
projector.
•  Pull the lamp box out of the projector slowly. If it is 
pulled out quickly, the lamp may break scattering glass 
fragments. 
•  Do not spill liquid on the removed lamp box or do not 
place it near any fl ammable object or where...

Warning:
•  Never use fl ammable air duster or other materials when cleaning the air-fi lter. Flammable substances may ignite 
causing fi re or backdown when the lamp is illuminated.
•  Do not use fl ammable solvents (benzene, thinner, etc.) and fl ammable aerosols when cleaning the projector body 
and lens. Flammable substances may ignite causing fi re or breakdown while the lamp is illuminating.
