Operation
Tur n On/Off Procedure
A Power on
Press the Standby/On key for 2 seconds to turn on the lamp. The LED will blink orange 
during the warm up and will then light solid green. 
z“INPUT SIGNAL DETECTED, ACTIVATING AUTO IMAGE” will be displayed on the screen after 
the projector has identified the input signal; 
z “SEARCHING” message will be displayed on the screen if there is no signal input; 
z “SYNC IS OUT OF RANGE” message will be displayed on the screen if the horizontal frequency...

When you press MENU button into OSD menu, all hotkeys become menu operating buttons.

Inserting Batteries in the Remote Control
Be sure to follow instructions in placing batteries into the remote control units.
zPush and slide the lid in the direction of the arrow.
zInstall two ‘AAA’ batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.
zReplace the lid and snap it into place.

Remote Control Range
The range for operation is about 10 m (about 32 feet ) when the remote control points to the
projector. The distance from the screen back to the projector must be less than 10 m (about
32 feet). Depending on the type of the screen, the distance will be different.

2. PLEASE CHANGE A NEW LAMP. THE POWER WILL TURN OFF AFTER 20 HOURS will be displayed
on the screen if the lamp has been operated for 980 hours. The 20 will count down (see figure 16).   
3. PLEASE CHANGE A NEW LAMP will blink on the screen together with a green LED if the lamp has been
operated for more than 1000 hours (see figure 17). The power will turn off automatically after 15 seconds.

Replacing the lamp
When replacing the lamp, turn off the projector and unplug the AC cord. Wait 45 minutes so
that the lamp can cool. When this high-pressure lamp is hot, it may explode if it is improperly
handled.
 
Lamp Replacement Procedure

Dispose of used lamps in accordance with local authorities.

As the lamp is made of glass, do not apply shocks to it or scratch it.

Also, do not use an old lamp, as this could cause the lamp to explode.

Resetting Lamp Timer
If replacing the lamp before reaching 1000 hours of operation, carry out the following 
procedure.   
If replacing the lamp after 1000 hours of operations, carry out the following procedure.

button again to leave the main OSD menu (at the same time the settings are saved).

When a PC is the input source, there will be only four items on this page: Keystone,
Brightness, Contrast, and Color Balance (Fig. 20). On the other hand, when the input source
is Video or S-video, there will be 4 other items on this page: Keystone, Brightness, Contrast,
and Sharpness (Fig.21).
