Matching the fascia panel to the height of adjacent drawer fronts Spacer bars The fascia panel can be aligned with the drawer fronts by adjusting the spacer bars. ^Using a socket spanner, turn clockwise or anti-clockwise until the required height is reached. Fitting the front panel The machine front can be fitted with a door panel to match other kitchen units. If fitted in a Miele kitchen, the door panel can be ordered pre-drilled with the necessary fixing holes as an optional accessory. If fitted in a non-Miele kitchen, a suitable panel will have to be drilled to suit by a qualified kitchen fitter. The Miele water protection system The Miele water protection system protects the washing machine from water damage. Connection to the water supply The machine should be connected to a mains water supply in accordance with local and national safety regulations. The German authorities do not require it to have a non-return valve as the washing machine has been designed to comply with DIN regulations. Connection to the drainage system The machine drains via a drain pump with a delivery head of 1 metre*. The drain hose must not be kinked as this restricts drainage. The swivel elbow at the end of the hose can be turned in either direction, or can be detached if required, with a sharp twist and pull. If required, the drain hose can be extended to a length of 5 m.
