To defrost Carry out the defrosting procedure as quickly as possible if food has not been placed in another freezer. The longer the food is left out at room temperature, the faster it defrosts. Do not use a steam-cleaning appliance to aid the defrosting process. Steam could reach electrical components and cause a short circuit. Ventilation gaps ^The ventilation gaps should be cleaned on a regular basis with a brush or vacuum cleaner. A build-up of dust will increase the energy consumption of the appliance. Door seal Do not use any oils or grease on the door seal as these will cause the seal to deteriorate and become porous over time.
