Water softener In order to achieve good cleaning results, the dishwasher needs to operate with soft water. Hard water results in the build-up of calcium deposits on crockery and in the dishwasher. Mains water with a hardness level higher than 0.7 mmol/l (4 °d – German scale)needs to be softened. To programme the water hardness level Each time a button is pressed, one of the indicator lights will flash and light up in the control panel. ^Remove the lower basket and unscrew the salt reservoir cap. Water or saline solution will run out of the reservoir when the cap is removed.
