11 LIMITED WARRANTY. Midland Consumer Radio will repair or replace, at its option without charge, any Midland Mobile, Base Station, or full power Hand-Held Citizens Band transceiver which fails due to a defect in material or workmanship within one year following the initial consumer purchase. This warranty does not include any carrying cases, earphones, or telescoping antennas which may be a part of or included with the warranted product, or the cost of labor for removal or re- installation of the product in a vehicle or other mounting. Performance of any obligation under this warranty may be obtained by returning the warranted product, freight prepaid, along with proof of purchase date, to Midland Consumer Radio, Warranty Service Department 1670 North Topping, Kansas City, Missouri 64120, or to any “ Midland Authorized Warranty Service Station,” or to the place of purchase ( if a participating dealer). Warranty information and the location of the nearest “Midland Authorized Warranty Service Station,” may be obtained by writing Midland Consumer Radio, Warranty Service Department. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Note: The above warranty applies only to merchandise purchased in the United States of America or any of the territories or possessions or from U.S. military exchange. For warranty coverage on merchandise purchased elsewhere, consult the supplemental warranty information included with this product or ask your dealer. SERVICE If it ever becomes necessary to return your unit for service: Pack the unit in its original box and packing, Improper packing may result in damage during shipment. Include $7.50 for return postage and handling. (Note: Some states do not require you to pay for postage and handling). Include a full description of any problems. Include your telephone number. You do not need to return accessory items (brackets, screws, power cord, antenna, etc.) unless they may be directly related to the problem. Include a photocopy of the bill of sale or other proof of purchase showing the date of sale. This information must be included before warranty service can be considered. ENGLISH 13asseMblInG anD PRePaRInG Installing the Wall Mount Plate This monitor meets the specifications for the wall mount plate or other compatible devices. 1 Place the screen face down. To protect the screen from scratches, cover the surface with a soft cloth. 2 Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 screws and detach the stand from the monitor. 3 Place the wall mount plate onto the monitor and align it with the screw holes. 4 Tighten the four screws to fix the plate to the monitor using a screwdriver. ENGLISH 14asseMblInG anD PRePaRInG Installing on the Wall Install the monitor at least 10 cm away from the wall and leave about 10 cm of space at each side of the monitor to ensure sufficient ventilation. De- tailed installation instructions can be obtained from your local retail store. Use an authorized LG wall mount and contact the local dealer or quali- fied personnel. yApplying excessive force when tightening screws may cause damage to the monitor. Dam- age caused in this way will not be covered by the product warranty. yTo prevent injury, this apparatus must be securely attached to the wall in accordance with the instrallation instructions. This may cause image distortion. y Do not display a still image on the screen for a prolonged time. This may cause image retention. Use a screensaver if possible. (If the power supply is not adequate, the USB device may not be recognized properly.) CaUTIon To use USB 3.0, connect the A-B type USB 3.0 cable of the product to the PC. The installation screen images are for reference only. The actual installation screen images may vary de- pending on the model. 1 Set up Internet Explorer as the default web browser. 2 Click lG Monitor software on the CD's main screen. When the file download window ap- pears, click Run. (Although the screen below may differ depending on your operating sys- tem or Internet Explorer version, the installa- tion methods are the same.) y Windows 7 must be updated to Service Pack 1 or higher. CaUTIon 3 Follow the instructions to proceed with the installation. 4 Check the I accept the terms of the agree- ment checkbox on the License Agreement screen and then click the next button. 5 Select the program that you want to install.
