MDW 9031/9031DCP Wireless Pocket Phone Quick Reference 503-801-165 Quick Reference Issue 2 February 1999 7 Preselecting a Line or Button After Line Preselection is enabled, proceed as follows: 1 If the display is blank, press . 2 If necessary, press to move the Selection rectangle. 3 Press corresponding to the line or button you want. 4 Press O to access the line or button. Accessing Certain Voice Mail Systems with a DEFINITY System Note:This section only applies to the MDW 9031 Pocket Phone. After dialing into some voice mail systems (for example, Octel 200/250, 300/350), the MDW 9031 Pocket Phone may not provide touch tones in order to access the voice mail system prompts. If you experience this problem after dialing into your voice mail system, press the Feat/Pbutton twice. After pressing the Feat/P button twice, your Pocket Phone will generate touch tones and you will be able to navigate within your voice mail system. When you end your call to your voice mail system, or press any non-dialpad button on your Pocket Phone (that is, Conf, Trans, Hold, Redial, Mute), your MDW 9031 will stop generating touch tones behind the voice mail system. You will need to re-enter Feat/Pwhenever you dial into these voice mail systems or after you have pressed a non-dialpad button. qrtitle.book Page 7 Friday, December 18, 1998 9:52 AM
Quick Reference MDW 9031/9031DCP Wireless Pocket Phone Quick Reference 503-801-165 8 Issue 2 February 1999 Changing Settings or Performing Tests in Local Mode 1 Make sure the handset is turned off. 2 Press and hold for 3 seconds. 3 While still holding , press O. 4 Press one of the following: A (2) to enable or disable the alerter. L (5) to enable or disable backlighting. P (7) for 3 seconds, then to enable or disable Line Preselection. V (8) to enable or disable the vibrator. W (9) to enter Wireless Test Mode, then 1 for signal strength 2 for voice quality 3 for matching radio module and slot number 5 for handset power settings # to enter Local Test Mode. 5 Press O to exit. !CAUTION: The MDW 9031/9031DCP handset is a radio device and, like all radio devices, should not be placed next to a pacemaker.
