The available Channel settings are described as follows. Item Description Auto Tuning Remembers a channel which is currently broadcasting. You should use this function when you move to another house or move the Laser TV to other place. It must be used while the antenna is connected and there are channel broadcasting signals. Manual Tuning Checks a channel signal, deletes or remembers a channel. The available Time settings are described as follows. Item Description Clock You can check or change the time while using the Laser TV. Off Time /On Time You can set the On/Off time for Laser TV. • This works normally only when the current time is configured. If Off Time and On Time are the same, Sleep takes priority when the Laser TV is on and Power On takes priority when the Laser TV is off. • Although the Laser TV can be turned on by the On Time function, it is automatically turned off if no button is pressed within 120 minutes. This is a convenient function if you are away from your home for a long period of time. NOTE Sleep Timer Sets the Laser TV to be turned off at the specified time. Auto Off If there is no signal, the Laser TV automatically turns off after the preset time has elapsed. The available Lock settings are described as follows. Setting Description Set Password Changes the 4-digit password. The default PIN is “0 0 0 0”. If you forget your password, press “0-3-2-5” on the remote control. Lock System Activates or deactivates the lock system. Block Channel Blocks the channels that contain inappropriate contents for children. The channels can be selected but the screen is blank and the audio is muted. To watch a locked channel, enter the password. Movie rating Blocks the movies that are only broadcasted on the Laser TV and contain inappropriate contents, based on the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) rating. Rating GGeneral audiences – All ages admitted PG Parental guidance suggested – Some material may not be suitable for children PG-13 Patents strongly cautioned – Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13 R Restricted – Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian NC-17 No one 17 and under admitted. X Adults only Blocking Off Permits all programs TV Rating- Children Blocks the children’s TV programs that parents do not want their children to watch. 74CUSTOMIZING SETTINGS SettingDescription TV Rating- General Blocks the TV programs that you want based on the ratings by using the Parental Control Function (V-Chip). • The V-Chip electronically reads TV program ratings and allows parents to block program that are unsuitable for children. NOTE Rating AgeApplies to TV-G, TV-PG, TV-14, TV-MA. Dialogue(Sexual dialogue) applies to TV-PG, TV-14. Language(Adult language) applies to TV-PG, TV-14, TV-MA. Sex(Sexual situations) applies to TV-PG, TV-14, TV-MA. ViolenceApplies to TV-PG, TV-14, TV-MA. Downloadable Rating This function operates only when the Laser TV has received Region5 Rating data. The name of the rating option may differ. • This feature is available only for digital channels. NOTE Input BlockBlock the input sources.

The available Option settings are described as follows. Item Description Language Selects the desired language. Caption If a broadcasting station transmits a digital bilingual signal, you can select a desired language. This will be the default language used when the power is on or a channel is changed. If there is no information for a selected foreign language, it is displayed in English. Digital Subtitle Settings (For digital broadcasting) SizeSelects the size of a subtitle. Text Color Selects the color of a subtitle. Text Opacity Selects the transparency of a subtitle. Bg Color Selects the background color of a subtitle. Bg Opacity Selects the transparency of a subtitle background. Pointer Customizes the pointer settings. SpeedSets the move speed of a pointer. Shape Selects the pointer shape. Size Selects the pointer size. Alignment Turn on this option. While using the Magic remote control, if the pointing position of the remote control and the actual pointer position do not match, shake the Magic remote control to the left and right. The pointer automatically moves to the center of screen to match the movement. Set ID The range of the set ID is 1 - 99. Only the saved set ID takes effect. PJT Mode Turns the projected image upside down or flips it horizontally. Edge Adj Compensates for the trapezoidal image shape created when projecting an image from an angle not perpendicular to the screen. 76CUSTOMIZING SETTINGS ItemDescription Auto PowerMakes the Laser TV turn on automatically when the power cord is connected. Item OnWhen the power cord is connected to the Laser TV, it turns on automatically. OffWhen the power cord is connected to the Laser TV, it goes into standby mode. Power Sound The alert sound plays upon turning on/off the power. High AltitudeIf the Laser TV is used at an altitude higher than 1200 meters, turn this option on. When High Altitude is not enabled, the Laser TV may overheat or its protection function may be activated. If this happens, turn the Laser TV off and then on again after waiting for several minutes. Test PatternYou can run this option when installing the Laser TV to adjust the screen size and focus. • While you use the Test Pattern option, the keys on the control panel do not work. NOTE Auto Input Search Automatically searches for and displays the input signal type when it is received. It is available only with external inputs (RGB, HDMI, AV and Component).
77CUSTOMIZING SETTINGS ItemDescription Eye Care Sensor Change the eye care sensor settings. • If a user gets closer to the product while the eye care sensor is turned on, the sensor detects it and reduces the light intensity automatically to protect the user's eyes. • The eye care sensor does not work when the test pattern or the Edge Adj function is used. • The eye care sensor may not work properly if the sensor is blocked by an object or placed in an area where direct sunlight or wind comes in contact with it. • The eye care sensor is more sensitive to horizontal movement than vertical movement. • The detection range may vary depending on the installation environment, temperature, or brightness. • The eye care sensor detects heat sources, so it may respond to animals moving or heaters placed close by. • The eye care sensor detects heat sources, so it may not be able to detect the user if there is no exposed skin or if an obstacle is placed between the sensor and the user. • It may not be able to detect the user if there is no movement for a long time. • The eye care sensor may also detect a small animal (e.g. cat or dog) or rotating heater. • The eye care sensor may not be able to detect when room temperature rises to skin temperature (30 ℃ or more in summer) or when a user is wearing thick clothes or standing with their back to the sensor. • The detection area may change if curtains or plants move in the wind. Detection also depends on variable conditions such as clothing and temperature. • The eye care sensor works normally even if the product is wobbling. • A wired/wireless communication device may cause the sensor to malfunction. • The eye care sensor may not work for a maximum of one minute after it is turned on. • When a user moves away from the unit, the light intensity is recovered within three seconds. • The eye care sensor may be disabled when energy saving is turned on. Turns DMR (Digital Media Renderer) connection on/off. Auto Play on Recieve Accepts / rejects content transferred from other devices. DivX(R) VOD Registers or releases DivX. Checks DivX Registration Code for playing DivX- protected videos. Register at http://vod.divx.com. Uses Registration Code to rent or purchase movies at www.divx.com/vod. • Rented/purchased DivX files cannot be played if the DivX Registration Code of a different device is used.
