11 Getting Started with Your Phone Correcting Dialing Mistakes If you make a mistake while dialing a number, press once to erase the last digit entered, or hold down for at least 2 seconds to go to the standby mode. Lock Mode Sets your phone to require a 4 digit password in order to use the phone. To quickly lock your phone press for three seconds and then enter your Lock Code.
