HDMI/DVI IN AV 1 (R) AUDIO (L) AUDIO/ VIDEO 19 EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT SETUP When connecting with a Euro Scart Connect the Euro scart socket of the DVD to the Euro scart socket of the set. Press the I IN NP PU UT T button to select AV 1. Press the P PL LA AY Y button on the DVD. The DVD playback picture appears on the screen.2 3 1 1 NOTE! G GPlease use the shield scart cable. When connecting HDMI cable(Only 19/22LS4R *) Connect the HDMI output of the DVD to the H HD DM MI I/ /D DV VI I IIN N jack on the set. Select HDMI/DVI(DTV) input source with using the I IN NP PU UT T button on the remote control. 2 1 1 G GTV can receive the video and audio signal simultaneously with using a HDMI cable. G GIf the DVD supports Auto HDMI function, the output resolu- tion of the source device will be automatically set to 1280x720p. G GIf the DVD player does not support Auto HDMI, you need to set the DVD output resolution appropriately. 20 VCR SETUP EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT SETUP EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT SETUP To avoid picture noise (interference), leave an adequate distance between the VCR and TV. Typically a frozen still picture from a VCR. If the 4:3 picture format is used; the fixed images on the sides of the screen may remain visible on the screen. Connect the aerial cable to the RF aerial in socket of the VCR. Store the VCR channel on a desired programme number using the ‘Manual programme tuning’ section. AV 1 (R) AUDIO (L) AUDIO/ VIDEO 21 EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT SETUP When connecting with a Euro Scart Connect the Euro scart socket of the VCR to the Euro scart socket of the set. Press the P PL LA AY Y button on the VCR. If your VCR outputs an AV switching signal via the Scart lead the set will auto switch to AV 1mode on start of playback, but if you want to keep on watching in TV mode, press the D D/ / E Eor NUMBER buttons. Otherwise press the I IN NP PU UT T button on the remote control handset to select AV 1. The VCR play back picture appears on the screen. You can also record programmes received by the TV on video tape. 2 1 1 NOTE! G GSignal type RGB, i.e. the signals red, green and blue can only be selected for the Euro scart and the AV1 can be received. Switch on the PC, and the PC screen appears on the set. The set can be operated as the PC monitor. 2 3 1 4 Connect the signal cable from the monitor output socket of the PERSONAL COMPUTER to the PC input socket of the set. Connect the audio cable from the PC to the A AU UD DI IO O ( (R RG GB B/ /D DV VI I) ) IIN N sock-ets of the set. Press the INPUT button to select RGB (PC). Select HDMI/DVI (PC) input source with using the I IN NP PU UT T button on the remote control. 2 3 1 1 2 NOTE! G GIf the set is cold, there may be a small “flicker” when the set is switched on. This is normal, there is nothing wrong with the set. G GIf possible, use the VESA 1280x1024@60Hz (17LS5R *), 1440x900@60Hz (19LS4R *), 1680x1050@60Hz (22LS4R *) video mode to obtain the best image quality for your LCD moni- tor. If used under the other resolutions, some scaled or processed pictures may appear on the screen. The set has been preadjusted to the mode VESA 1280x1024@60Hz(17LS5R *), 1440x900@60Hz (19LS4R *), 1680x1050@60Hz (22LS4R *). G GSome dot defects may appear on the screen, like Red, Green or Blue spots. However, this will have no impact or effect on the monitor performance. G GDo not press the LCD screen with your finger for a long time as this may produce some temporary distortion effects on the screen. G GWhen the PC screen appears on the set, a mes- sage may appear on the screen, and the message will differ according to the Window system ver- sion. If a message appears click “Next” until the message finishes. G GIf the message “No signal” appears on the screen, adjust the PC as in the ‘Displayable Monitor Specification’ section. Press the M ME EN NU U button and then D D/ / E Ebutton to select the Screenmenu. Press the G Gbutton and then D D/ / E Ebutton to select the desired screen function. Make appropriate adjustments. You can adjust auto configure, manual configure and reset as you prefer. The displayed image will unstable for a few seconds while the auto configuration is in progress.
