DIGITAL TELETEXT
DIGITAL TELETEXT
 yThis function works in UK, Ireland only.
The TV gives you access to digital teletext which is 
greatly improved in various aspects such as text,
graphics etc. This digital teletext can access spe-
cial digital teletext services and specific services 
which broadcast digital teletext.
Teletext within digital service
Teletext in digital service
1 Press the numeric or P  button to select a 
digital service which broadcasts digital teletext.
2 Follow the indications on digital teletext and 
move onto the next step by pressing TEXT, 
OK, Navigation button, Red, Green, Yellow, 
Blue or NUMBER buttons and etc.
3 To change digital teletext service, select a dif-
ferent service by the numeric or P  button.
1 Press the numeric or P  button to select a 
certain service which broadcasts digital tele-
text.
2 Press the TEXT or coloured button to switch on 
teletext.
3 Follow the indications on digital teletext and 
move onto the next step by pressing OK, Navi-
gation button, Red, Green, Yellow, Blue or 
NUMBER buttons and so on.
4 Press the TEXT or colour button to switch off 
digital teletext and return to TV viewing.
Some services may allow you to access text 
services by pressing the Red button.

MAINTENANCE
Update and clean your TV regularly to keep the best performance and to extend the product life\
span.
Cleaning your TV
 yMake sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables first.
 yWhen the TV is left unattended and unused for a long time, disconnect the power c\
ord from the wall 
outlet to prevent possible damage from lightning or power surges.
CAUTION
Screen and frame
To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.
To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. 
Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.
 yDo not push, rub, or hit the surface with your fingernail or a sharp obj\
ect, as this may result in 
scratches on the screen and image distortions.
 yDo not use any chemicals, such as waxes, benzene, alcohol, thinners, ins\
ecticides, air fresheners, 
lubricants, as these may damage the screen’s finish and cause discolourations.
CAUTION
Cabinet and stand
To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the cabinet with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.
To remove major dirt, wipe the cabinet with a soft cloth dampened in a cl\
ean water or water containing a 
small amount of mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.
 yDo not spray liquid onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or 
malfunction.
 yDo not use any chemicals as this may deteriorate the surface.
CAUTION
Power cord
Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.

Preventing “Image burn” or “Burn-in” on your TV screen
 yIf a fixed image displays on the TV screen for a long period of time, it will be imprinted and become 
a permanent disfigurement on the screen. This is “image burn” or “burn-in” and not covered by the 
warranty.
 yIf the aspect ratio of the TV is set to 4:3 for a long period of time, image burn may occur on the \
letterboxed area of the screen.
 yAvoid displaying a fixed image on the TV screen for a long period of time (2 or more hours for LCD,  
1 or more hours for the Plasma TV) to prevent image burn.

ProblemResolution
Cannot control the TV with the remote control. yCheck the remote control sensor on the product and try again. yCheck if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote contro\
l. yCheck if the batteries are still working and properly installed ( to ,  to ). yCheck if the appropriate input mode such as TV or VCR is set for using the remote control.
No image display and no sound is produced. yCheck if the product is turned on. yCheck if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet. yCheck if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other produ\
cts.
Image appears slowly when the TV turns on. yThe image is muted during the product startup process. This is normal. If the image does not appear in a few minutes, unplug the TV for 30 seconds and try again. If the image still does not appear, contact the authorized service center in your local area.
Cannot connect external devices. yRefer to the “Connection overview” (See p.82) and connect an external device.
The TV turns off suddenly. yCheck the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted. yCheck if the Auto sleep feature is activated in the Time settings.  Refer to the “Sleep Timer” (See p.76). yIf there is no signal while the TV is on, the TV will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.(Except for 22/26/32LK335C, 32/37/42LK455C, 19/22/26/32LV255C, 32/37/42/47LV355C)
General
ProblemResolution
No sound is produced while images are displaying. yPress   + or - button. yCheck if the sound is muted by pressing MUTE. yScroll to other channels. There may a problem with the broadcast. yCheck if the audio cables are connected properly.
One of the speakers produce noises or does not produce sound. yA change in ambient humidity or temperature may result in an unusual nois\
e when the product turns on or off. yThere is no problem with your product.

ProblemResolution
An image displays in black and white or the colour quality is poor. yAdjust the colour setting in the PICTURE menu (See p.66). yKeep a sufficient distance between this product and other electronic products. yScroll to other channels. There may a problem with the broadcast.
Horizontal or vertical bars appears or images blur yCheck if there are local interferences such as an electrical appliance o\
r power tool.
Lines or streaks appear on images yCheck the antenna or aim the antenna to the proper direction.
Afterimages (ghosts) appear when the product turns off yPixels may have been damaged from a fixed image displayed for a long tim\
e (image burn). Use a screen saver to prevent the pixel damage on the sc\
reen.
The power is on but the screen appears extremely dark. yAdjust the brightness and contrast in the PICTURE menu (See p.66).
“No Signal” appears on the screen. yCheck if the signal cable is connected between the TV and products properly. yCheck the selected input source by pressing INPUT.
Black spots appear on the screen. ySeveral pixels in red, green, white, or black may appear on the screen t\
hat can attribute to the characteristics of the LCD panel.  yThis is normal.
The display offset is wrong. yAdjust the position setting in the PICTURE menu (See p.66). yCheck if the video card resolution and frequency are supported by the pr\
oduct. If the frequency is out of range, set to the recommended resolution usin\
g the display settings on the external device.
Thin lines appear in the background of the screen. yCheck the video cable connections.
Horizontal noises appear or characters blur. yAdjust the Phase setting in the PICTURE menu. Refer to the  “SCREEN” (See p.66).
The reception on some channels is poor yScroll to other channels. There may a problem with the broadcast. yThe station signal may be weak. Aim the antenna to the proper direction. yCheck if there is local interference such as an electrical appliance or \
power tool.
