Unlinking trays Unlinked trays have settings that are not the same as the settings of any other tray. To unlink a tray, change the following tray settings so that they do not match the settings of any other tray: Paper Type (for example: Plain Paper, Letterhead, Custom Type ) Paper Type names describe the paper characteristics. Fiber content Most high‑quality xerographic paper is made from 100% chemically treated pulped wood. Use papers printed with heat‑resistant inks designed for use in xerographic copiers. The ink must be able to withstand temperatures up to 230°C (446°F) without melting or releasing hazardous emissions. Use inks that are not affected by the resin in toner.
