1. Name and phone number of servicer
2. Date of service
3. Date on which the machine failed
4. Date of purchase

Power system checkout
To verify a symptom, follow the steps below:
1. Turn off the computer.
2. Connect the AC adapter.
3. Make sure that power is supplied when you turn on the computer.
4. Turn off the computer.
5. Disconnect the AC adapter.
6. Make sure that the battery pack supplies power when you turn on the computer.

Passwords
As many as three passwords may be needed for any Lenovo computer: the power-on  password  (POP),  the  hard  disk  password  (HDP),  and  the  supervisor password.

Shutting down the computer
