Use a thin flat blade to carefully pry off the two speaker covers.

Insert the thin flat blade between the frame join near the power button, then 
carefully move the blade along the join to remove the back cover.

For access, remove this FRU:
 “1010 Back cover” on page 27

Hold the tab and lift the battery slightly. Insert a flat blade under the right side 
of the battery and pry the battery out. Disconnect the battery connector  . 
Detach the battery from the bracket, as shown below.
DANGER
Only use the battery specified in the parts list for your computer. Any other 
battery could ignite or explode.

 “1010 Back cover” on page 27
 “1020 Battery pack” on page 29
 “1030 SIM card and SD card” on page 30Important notices for handling the system board:
When handling the system board, bear the following in mind.
 Be careful not to drop the system board on a bench top that has a hard 
surface, such as metal, wood, or composite.
 Avoid rough handling of any kind.
 In the whole process, make sure not to drop or stack the system board.
 If you put a system board down, make sure to put it only on a padded 
surface such as an ESD mat or conductive corrugated material.

Peel off the conductive cloth and insulating film as shown. Detach the back 
camera connector  , sub board connector  , touchpad connector  , LCD 
connector  . Peel off the speakers   and vibrator  . Remove the system 
board.
