Loosen the keyboard with a prying tool .
5Lift the keyboard slightly . Disconnect the keyboard connector in the direction shown by 
arrows 
 and . Then remove the keyboard.
6Reconnect the keyboard connector and install the new keyboard. Push the keyboard in 
gently until it clicks into place.
Note: Make sure that the keyboard connector is attached firmly.
7Close the computer display and turn the computer over.
8Reinstall and tighten the screws.
9Reinstall the compartment cover and tighten the screws.
0Turn the computer over again.
AConnect the AC power adapter and the cables to the computer.

Removing the optical drive   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -   
To remove the optical drive, do the following:
1Remove the keyboard.  For details, see “Replacing the keyboard” on page 26.
2Remove the screw shown in the illustration  .
3Gently pull the optical drive out  .
4Remove the screw , then remove the optical drive bracket in the direction shown by 
arrow
