Locks & alarm 18 MISLOCK A mislock will occur if: A door, bonnet or tailgate are left open. The key is left in the starter switch. An incomplete’lazy lock’is attempted. The message centre will indicate the cause of a mislock e.g.’SUNROOF BLOCKED’. Locks & alarm 19 AUTO RELOCK Auto relock ensures that, if the vehicle is unlocked accidentally, the vehicle will relock itself automatically after a 60 second delay. Locks & alarm 20 INERTIA CUT-OFF SWITCH This switch is a safety device that automatically unlocks the doors in the event of an accident or sudden impact (provided the starter switch is turned on). In addition, the inertia switch inhibits power to the electric fuel pump, turns off the heating and air conditioning fans, and turns on the hazard warning lights, which continue flashing until either the starter switch is turned off or the inertia switch is reset. Locks & alarm 21 Handset batteries When the batteries need replacing, the message centre will display’KEY BATTERY LOW’. To replace: Remove the battery cover by turning the cover anti-clockwise with a coin. Taking care not to touch the circuit board, prise the batteries from the cover and fit new ones (with the positive side facing the cover), and replace the cover.
