DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION DEFENDER 1999 MY4.37 INTERIOR LAMPS DESCRIPTION Defender 1999 MY vehicle are fitted with an interior lamp in the front of the vehicle. 110 Station wagon vehicles are also fitted with a rear interior lamp. Both lamps can be switched on manually using their integral switches. If any door, including the tail door are opened, the lamps will illuminate. The lamps are controlled by the alarm ECU. Pressing the centre of the cigar lighter latches the heater element into the holder. With the ignition in position I, power flows through the heating element of the cigar lighter, causing it to heat up.
