pullafirearmtowardsyoubythemuzzle.

aftereachtriggerpull,80thatthefiringpinatrikeaa
differentpartofthecaaerimeachtime.Yourfinger
muatbeoutaidethetriggerguerdduringthiaproc:eaa.
Makeaurethereisnothingbetweenyouandthetar.

Unloading
Afterahootingandbeforeyoumovefromyourahoot-
ingpoaition,opentheboltoftherifleandbeaureto
keepitopenwiththebolthandleraieed.Checkthe
chambertomakeaurethereianocartridgeinthe
chamber.
Ifyoufindanunapentroundinthechamber,work
theboltbyloweringthebolthandle,raiaingitand
pullingthebolthandlebackcrlaply80thatyouextract
andejectthecartridge.Whileyouaredoingthia,be
auretokeepyourfingeroutsidethetriggerguerdand
theriflepointedinaoafedirectionawayfromanything
youdonotwanttoahoot.
Cleaningandcare
Tokeepyourrineinthebeatworkingconditionyou
.houldthoroughlycleaniteachtimeithasbeenueed,
andifyouliveinahumidclimateyoushouldcleanita
leaeteverymonth.Beforecleaning,makeauretherine

iscompletelyunloaded.Followtheproceduresinthe
previousparagraphtitled.Unloading.
Next,removetheboltoftherifle(seeoperating
instructions).Next,usingagoodqualitycleaningrod,
pa88apatchthroughtheborefromthebreechendto
themuzzle,andrepeatthisprocedureuntilthepatch.
esnolongerpickupanybarrelresiduesandcomeout
clean.
Ifyouhavebeendoingaconsiderableamountof
shooting,ortheammunitionyouhaveusedproduces
excessiveresidue.itmaybenecessarytowetyour
patchwithagoodtypeofbarrelsolvent,whichisnon-
corrosiveandnon-abrasiveandthenfollowwithdry
patches.Alwaysfollowthedirectionsofthecleaning
rodmanufacturer.Whenyouaresatisfiedthatthebore
isclean,putaslightlyoiledpatchthroughthebore
usingacleaningrodintheaamemanner88above.One
passwiththeoiledpatchshouldbesufficienLNow
wipetheboltbreechandallexternalmetalsuriaces80
theyarecoveredwithalightcoatofoil.
Useonlyanon.acidresinousrecognizedqualitygun
oil,especiallywbencleaningthebarrelbore.Other
chemicalsshouldnotbeused..

short,longorlongriflecartridgea.Itisaaingleahot
boItactionrifle.
Beforeattemptingtooperate,diaambleorclean
yourrifle,readthefollowinginatructiona.
RemovinetheBolt.Liftthebolthandleupandpull
totherear.Thiawillopentheaction.Pullthetrigger
totherearandattheaametimealidethebolttothe
rear,removingitfromthereceiver.
RepIaelnetheBolt
-Placetheboltintothereceiver,
attheaametimepullingthetrigger.Theboltahouldbe
movedallthewayforwardandthehandlerotated
downtolock.
Warning:Beforetherifleiafiredthebarrelshouldbo
aminedtobeaureitiaclean,doeanothaveheavy
oil,greaseoranyotherobstruction.Onlypointtherifle
whereyouintendtoshoot.
LoadlnetheRille.Opentheactionandloadacar-
tridgeintothechamber.Beauretouseonly.22caliber
rimfirecartridgea.Donotattempttoloadanyother
typeofcartridgeintothiarifle.Itmayreaultinperoon-
aIiI1jwyordamagetotherifle.Afterplacingthecar-
tridgeinthechamber,closethebolthandletolockit.

trigger,allowthecockingpiecetoBlowlymoveforward

aqueezedtof1retherifle.Toejectthecartridgecaae,

fullytotheforwardposition.Thenliftthebolthandle
andpullittotherear.Removethecartridgefromthe
chamber.

cleanandlightlyre-oiI.Handlingtherifleleavesprints

Topreventthis,themetalshouldbecleanedandwiped
withalightlyoiledcloth.Quickchangesoftempera-
