    IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS  Safe Opera\bion & Use
    When using electrical appliances, basic 
    safety precautions should be followed, 
    including the following:
    1.     Read all ins\bruc\bions before using.
    2.   
    Do no\b \bouch ho\b surfaces. Use handles 
    and knobs when available.
    \b.    This appliance mus\b be properly ins\balled 
    and loca\bed in accordance wi\bh \bhese   
    ins\bruc\bions before i\b is used.
    4.    The use of accessory a\b\bachmen\bs no\b rec -
    ommended by \bhe appliance manufac\burer 
    may resul\b in fire, elec\brical shock or injury 
    \bo persons.
    5.    Do no\b place on or near a ho\b gas or elec\bric 
    burner, or in a hea\bed oven.
    6.  Do no\b use ou\bdoors.
    7.    To pro\bec\b agains\b fire, elec\bric shock and 
    injury do no\b immerse cords, plugs, or \bhe 
    appliance in wa\ber or any o\bher liquid.
    8.  Do no\b overfill \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir 
      wi\bh wa\ber.
    9.    Use  only water  in \bhis appliance! Do no\b pu\b 
    any o\bher liquids or foods in \bhe \fa\ber Res -
    ervoir excep\b as ins\bruc\bed in \bhe Cleaning 
    Ins\bruc\bions in \bhis guide.
    10.    Turn off and unplug \bhe Brewer before 
    cleaning or main\benance. Allow \bo cool   
      before pu\b\bing on or \baking off par\bs 
     
    and before cleaning \bhe appliance.
    11.    For bes\b opera\bion, plug \bhe appliance 
    in\bo i\bs own elec\brical ou\ble\b on a dedica\bed 
    circui\b \bo preven\b flickering of ligh\bs, blowing 
    of fuses or \bripping a circui\b breaker.
    12.    Do no\b opera\be any appliance wi\bh a 
    damaged cord or plug or af\ber \bhe appliance 
    malfunc\bions or is damaged in any manner.

    1\b.    Do no\b le\b \bhe cord hang over \bhe edge of 
    \bhe \bable or coun\ber, or \bouch ho\b surfaces.
    14.    To disconnec\b, press \bhe Power Bu\b\bon on 
    \bhe Brewer \bo ‘OFF’ s\ba\bus and \bhen remove 
    \bhe plug from \bhe wall ou\ble\b.
    15.    Close supervision is necessary when any 
    appliance is used by or near children.
    16.    Do not lift the Handle to open the \fid of 
    the Brewer while brewing is in progress.
    17.    Always keep \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir Lid 
    on \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir unless you are   
    refilling i\b.
    18.    This appliance is equipped wi\bh a power 
    cord having a grounding wire wi\bh a   
    grounding plug. The appliance mus\b be 
    grounded using a 3-hole properly grounded 
    ou\ble\b. In \bhe even\b of an elec\brical shor\b   circui\b, grounding reduces \bhe risk of 
     
    elec\brical shock.
    19.    If \bhe ou\ble\b is a s\bandard 2-prong wall 
    ou\ble\b, i\b is your personal responsibili\by   
    and obliga\bion \bo have i\b replaced wi\bh a 
    properly grounded 3-prong wall ou\ble\b.
    20.    Do no\b, under any circums\bances, cu\b or 
    remove \bhe \bhird (ground) prong from \bhe 
    power cord or use an adap\ber.
    21.    Consul\b a qualified elec\brician if \bhe 
    grounding ins\bruc\bions are no\b comple\bely 
    unders\bood, or if doub\b exis\bs as \bo whe\bher 
    \bhe appliance is properly grounded.

    I NSTRUCTIONS .
    CAUTION: There are two sharp needles that puncture the K-Cup® portion pack, 
    one above the K-Cup® Holder and the other in the bottom of the K-Cup® Holder. 
    To avoid risk of injury, do not put your fingers in the K-Cup® Assembly Housing.
    CAUTION: There is extremely hot water in the K-Cup
    ® Holder during the 
    brew  process. To avoid risk of injury, do not lift the Handle or open the K-Cup® 
    Assembly Housing during the brewing process.
    SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS:
     A shor\b power supply cord is provided \bo 
    reduce \bhe risk of becoming en\bangled in or \bripping over a longer cord.
    If an ex\bension cord is used, (1) \bhe marked elec\brical ra\bing of \bhe cord se\b 
    or ex\bension cord should be a\b leas\b as grea\b as \bhe elec\brical ra\bing of \bhe 
    appliance; (2) \bhe cord should be arranged so \bha\b i\b will no\b drape over \bhe 
    coun\ber\bop or \bable\bop where i\b can be pulled on by children or \bripped over un -
    in\ben\bionally; and (3) \bhe ex\bension cord mus\b include a 3-prong grounding plug.

    1.   
    Plug Brewer into its own grounded outlet. If \bhe elec\bric circui\b is overloaded wi\bh o\bher   
    appliances, your Brewer may no\b func\bion   
    properly. The Brewer should be opera\bed on   
    i\bs own circui\b, separa\be from o\bher appliances.
    2.   
    Keep your Brewer turned “ON”.   To brew a fresh cup of coffee, \bea or ho\b cocoa 
    any\bime you wan\b, keep your Brewer \burned 
    “ON” all \bhe \bime. However, \bhe Brewer is fully  programmable so you can se\b i\b \bo \burn on and off au\boma\bically \bo ma\bch your schedule.   
    Or, if you prefer, se\b \bhe Brewer \bo au\boma\bica lly 
    \burn off af\ber a period of \bime. Follow \bhe simple  ins\bruc\bions on pages 11–14 \bo find \bhe se\b\bings 
    \bha\b are mos\b convenien\b for you.

    For the best tasting gourmet coffee, tea or 
    hot cocoa, Keurig recommends using bottled  or filtered water. 
    \fa\ber quali\by varies from place \bo place. If   
    you no\bice an undesirable \bas\be in your cup   
    of coffee, such as chlorine or o\bher mineral 
    \bas\bes, we recommend you consider using  bo\b\bled wa\ber or wa\ber from a fil\bra\bion sys\bem. 
    For bes\b resul\bs, carefully follow manufac\burer’s   
    ins\bruc\bions when using any wa\ber fil\bra\bion 
    sys\bem.

    Customize the size, flavor & brew that’s   
    perfect for you.

    por\bion packs and 5 brew sizes (Ex\bra-Small 
    Cup-3.25 oz., Small Cup-5.25 oz., Small Mug-

    ® Brewer gives you endless 
    op\bions \bo cus\bomize \bhe size, flavor and brew 
    \bha\b’s perfec\b for you. For a s\brong, in\bense cup,  selec\b an Ex\bra Bold por\bion pack (wi\bh up \bo 
    30% more ground coffee \bhan regular varie\bies)  and brew size \bha\b’s righ\b for you. The smaller 
    \bhe brew size, \bhe more in\bense flavor in your  cup. The larger \bhe brew size, \bhe less in\bense 
    flavor in your cup.
    5.   
    Remove K-Cup® portion pack after use.Please see page 7 for brewing ins\bruc\bions. 
    6.  
    Brewing into a travel mug. To brew in\bo a \bravel mug, simply remove \bhe 
    Drip Tray Assembly and place \bhe \bravel mug on \bhe Drip Tray Base.

    De-scale Brewer regularly.    Please see pages 15 and 16 for ins\bruc\bions.
    Unpacking Instr\bcti\fns
    1.  
    Place Brewer box on a large s\beady surface
    (such as a \bable or coun\ber\bop) or on \bhe floor.  Open \bhe box.
    2. Remove enclosed li\bera\bure.
    \b.  
    Turn \bhe box on i\bs side wi\bh fron\b of box 
    face down.
    4.   Reach in\bo \bhe box and grasp \bhe plas\bic bag 
    \bha\b con\bains \bhe Brewer.
    5.   Carefully pull \bhe plas\bic bag (and packaging 
    ma\berials) \boward you and ou\b of \bhe box. The 
    Brewer will s\bill be encased in \bhe polyfoam   
    and be on i\bs side.
    6.  
    Remove \bhe \bop polyfoam packaging ma\berial.
    7.  
    Carefully lif\b Brewer off of \bhe bo\b\bom polyfoam 
    and place i\b uprigh\b on a fla\b, s\beady surface.
    8.   Lif\b plas\bic bag off of Brewer.
    9.  
    Record \bhe serial number for \bhis Brewer on 
    page 3 of \bhis guide. The serial number can be 
    found on \bhe bo\b\bom of \bhe Brewer box or on \bhe  Brewer behind \bhe Drip Tray (when removed).
    10.  
    Place \bhe Brewer uprigh\b on a fla\b, s\beady 
    surface. Remove \bape holding \fa\ber Reservoir  in place. 
    \fe recommend you save all packing ma\berials in  case fu\bure shipping of \bhe produc\b is necessary.
    WARNING: 
    Keep all plastic bags away  from children.

    Press and release \bhe Power Swi\bch found 
    direc\bly behind \bhe righ\b side of \bhe Brewer.  Swi\bch is spring loaded and will re\burn \bo   
    original posi\bion.

    The Blue LCD Con\brol Cen\ber will come on and 
    indica\be “NOT READY.” 
    NOTE: A K-Cup® portion 
    pack should not be used for this sequence
    .
    8.    
    The Brewer will au\boma\bically fill \bhe in\bernal 
    \bank wi\bh wa\ber and \bhen \bhe wa\ber will be 
    hea\bed. This will \bake abou\b 4 minu\bes.  
    During \bhe hea\bing period, “NOT READY”   
    is displayed on \bhe LCD Con\brol Cen\ber (fig. 3).   
    D\f n\ft lift Brewer  handle d\bring this ‘heating 
    peri\fd.’ Once \bhe wa\ber is hea\bed, “READY TO 
    BRE\f” will be displayed (fig. 4).

    5.   Place a por\bion pack in \bhe K-Cup® Holder (fig. 6).
    CAUTION: There are two sharp needles that

    Lower \bhe Handle \bo close \bhe Lid over \bhe
    K-Cup® Holder. (\fhen i\b is closed comple\bely,
    \bhe LCD Con\brol Cen\ber will indica\be “READY 
    TO BRE\f.” The Lef\b and Righ\b Bu\b\bons and   
    \bhe BRE\f Bu\b\bon will be illumina\bed up \bo   
    60 seconds.)

    All brew size icons are li\b wi\bh \bhe defaul\b 
    size flashing (fig. 7). To choose a differen\b size,   
    press Lef\b Bu\b\bon \bo go down in size or Righ\b  Bu\b\bon \bo go up in size. 
    NOTE: The Small Mug is the factory set default 
    brew size. To program your favorite brew size se e 
    page 14 “Pro gramming Your Brew Size”.

    Your choices are a s\bronger Ex\bra-Small 
    Cup (3.25 oz. serving), a Small Cup (5.25 oz. 
    serving), a Small Mug (7.25 oz. serving), a Large  Mug (9.25 oz. serving) or a Travel Mug (11.25 oz. 
    serving).
    NOTE: You may see small amounts of water coming 
    from the Vent and dripping into the Water Reservoir 
    during this and subsequent heating  —  this is normal.
    9.

    K-Cup
    ® por\bion pack. Pour \bhe ho\b wa\ber

    NOTE: A portion pack should not be used for 
    this Sequence

    10.    
    The one-\bime se\b-up process is now 
    comple\be and you are ready \bo brew! 
    NOTE: The Brewer may take 15-\b0 seconds 
    between brews and then “READY TO BREW”   
    will be displayed.

    Setting Up Y\f\br Brewer
    1.   
    Unwrap cord and plug \bhe Brewer in\bo a 
    grounded ou\ble\b. Remove all pieces of packing  \bape and clear plas\bic s\bicker from LCD display.
    2.   
    Place a large mug (10 oz. minimum) on \bhe 
    Drip Tray Pla\be.
    \b.   
    Remove \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir from Brewer by 
    firs\b removing Lid from \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir   
    (fig. 1), \bhen lif\bing \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir s\braigh\b 
    up and \boward fron\b of Brewer (may be \bigh\b),  (fig. 2 A). Rinse wi\bh fresh wa\ber.
    4.   
    Fill \fa\ber Reservoir wi\bh bo\b\bled or fil\bered 
    wa\ber so \bha\b \bhe wa\ber level is jus\b below \bhe 
    \bop edge of \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir.
    5.   
    Place \fa\ber Reservoir base in\bo \bhe lef\b side of \bhe Brewer and be sure \bhe 
    \fa\ber Reservoir Lock Tab engages wi\bh \bhe Brewer. Replace Lid on \fa\ber 
    Reservoir. 
    NOTE: Please ensure the Water Reservoir is seated properly, so 
    that the back of the Water Reservoir is flush with the Brewer (fig. 2 B and C). 
    IMPORT aNT:  You c\bnnot us\f your K\furig® Br\fw\fr until it h\bs b\f\fn s\ft 
    up for its first us\f \bs s\ft forth b\flow.
    NOTE:  If Br\fw\fr h\bs b\f\fn \fxpos\fd to t\fmp\fr\btur\fs b\flow fr\f\fzing, 
    \bllow Br\fw\fr \bt l\f\bst two hours to r\f\bch room t\fmp\fr\btur\f b\ffor\f 
    br\fwing. A froz\fn or \fxtr\fm\fly cold Br\fw\fr will not op\fr\bt\f.

    Once size is chosen, press BRE\f Bu\b\bon. 
    BRE\f Bu\b\bon will remain illumina\bed, Lef\b   
    and Righ\b Bu\b\bons will no longer be li\b and   
    icon of brew size will be li\b.
    7.   
    The LCD Con\brol Cen\ber will now display \bhe 
    word ‘BRE\fING’ and \bhe serving size you   
    selec\bed will be illumina\bed on LCD (fig. 8). 
    CAUTION: There is extremely hot water in 
    the K-Cup® Holder during the brew process. 
    To avoid risk of injury, do not lift the Handle or   
    open the  K-Cup
    ® Assembly Housing during the 
    brew process.
    8.
       
    There may be a shor\b pause prior \bo coffee 
    being dispensed. The en\bire brew process   
    las\bs for approxima\bely 1 minu\be and ends   
    wi\bh a burs\b of air \bo remove all liquid from   
    \bhe K-Cup
    ® por\bion pack.
    9.   
    Lif\b \bhe Handle, remove 
    and dispose of \bhe   
    used por\bion pack.   
    CAUTION: Portion pack 
    will be hot.
    10.
       
    Enjoy your firs\b cup 
    of Keurig Brewed® 
    gourme\b coffee, \bea   
    or ho\b cocoa!
    11.   
    Your Brewer may display “NOT READY” as i\b hea\bs wa\ber for \bhe nex\b
    brew cycle. The “READY TO BRE\f” indica\bion will re\burn \bo \bhe LCD 
    Con\brol Cen\ber in abou\b 15 seconds.
     
    St\fpping the Brew Pr\fcess
    If you need \bo s\bop \bhe brewing af\ber \bhe process has s\bar\bed, press and 
    release \bhe Power Swi\bch \bo \burn \bhe Brewer ‘OFF.’ The flow of coffee, \bea 
    or ho\b cocoa will s\bop, \bhe hea\bing elemen\b will shu\b off and \bhe blue ligh\bs  illumina\bing \bhe LCD Con\brol Cen\ber and \fa\ber Reservoir will disappear. 
    NOTE: You may get more coffee, tea or hot cocoa in your cup during your next 
    brew. We recommend that you perform a cleansing brew with water-only after   
    a terminated brew. Then your NEXT brew will be the volume you have selected.
    a dding Water
    The LCD Con\brol Cen\ber of your Brewer will 
    indica\be when \bhe wa\ber level in \bhe \bank is low 
    or if \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir has been removed by 
    displaying \bhe words “ADD \fATER” (fig. 9). The  blue ligh\b in \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir will also blink when wa\ber needs \bo be added. The Brewer will 
    no\b allow you \bo brew when “ADD  \fATER” is 
    displayed (fig. 9). 
    SECTION 1Se\b-Up & Firs\b Brew (con\binued)
    The Water Reservoir can be filled in two ways. 
    1. 
      Lif\b off \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir Lid and pour wa\ber direc\bly in\bo \bhe \fa\ber  Reservoir while i\b is s\bill a\b\bached \bo \bhe Brewer, \bhen replace \bhe Lid.
    2.   Remove \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir from Brewer by firs\b removing Lid from \bhe 
    \fa\ber Reservoir, \bhen lif\bing \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir s\braigh\b up and \boward fron\b of Brewer. Fill wi\bh wa\ber. Place \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir back on \bhe 
    Brewer and replace \bhe Lid.
    IMPORTANT : Do not remove the Water Reservoir during the brewing process.
    Brewing Iced Beverages
    Your iced \bea and iced coffee \bas\be bes\b when fresh-brewed ho\b over ice. 
    Try i\b by placing a \ball cup filled wi\bh ice on \bhe Drip Tray Pla\be, choose   
    your favori\be K-Cup
    ® por\bion pack, selec\b \bhe brew size and press \bhe 
    BRE\f Bu\b\bon.  Also, look for \bhe Brew Over Ice™ icon on  por\bion packs 
    \bha\b are specially craf\bed \bo brew over ice! 
    IMPORTANT:  Do not brew into a cup made of glass.  Doing so may cause the 
    glass to crack or break.

    Your Brewer can dispense ho\b wa\ber for ins\ban\b soup, oa\bmeal or o\bher needs.
    1.  Place a mug on \bhe Drip Tray Pla\be. If you’ve jus\b comple\bed a rinse or ho\b 
    wa\ber cycle, proceed \bo s\bep 4.

    Pr\fgramming On/Off Feat\bres
    The Brewer provides \bhree modes so \bha\b you can enjoy gourme\b coffee, \bea  or ho\b cocoa on your own schedule. By programming your Brewer \bo \burn on 
    each morning, you will never have \bo wai\b for \bhe Brewer \bo warm up \bo brew a gourme\b cup of coffee. I\b will \bake \bhe Brewer approxima\bely 4 minu\bes \bo  warm up from room \bempera\be.
    1.    \feave it ON all the time. The Brewer can be lef\b on all \bhe \bime so \bha\b i\b is 
    always ready \bo brew a fresh cup of gourme\b coffee, \bea or ho\b cocoa. To  \burn \bhe Brewer off a\b any \bime, simply press and release \bhe Power Swi\bch. 
    ( NOTE :
     Although the clock remains on, if set, you can not brew a cup of coffee, 
    tea or hot cocoa.) 
    Press and release \bhe Power Swi\bch again \bo res\bore 
    power \bo \bhe Brewer. You will have \bo wai\b for \bhe wa\ber \bo hea\b up before  \bhe Brewer is ready \bo brew.
    2.   
    Set the Brewer to “AUTO OFF” following a specified period of time after the 
    last brew.   
    a.

    P\brging the Brewer
    If your Brewer has no\b been used for more \bhan one week, you should purge  \bhe wa\ber from \bhe inner \bank.
    1.    If \bhere is wa\ber in \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir, remove \bhe Lid, \bhen lif\b \bhe 
    \fa\ber Reservoir s\braigh\b up and away from Brewer. Discard wa\ber, rinse 
    and refill wi\bh wa\ber. Place \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir back on \bhe Brewer and  replace \bhe Lid. (If \bhere is no wa\ber in \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir, simply refill.)
    2.    Be sure \bhe Brewer is \burned on. Raise and lower \bhe Handle on \bhe 
    Brewer wi\bhou\b inser\bing a por\bion pack.
    \b.    The LCD Con\brol Cen\ber will display “READY TO BRE\f.” 
    Brew a Travel Mug (11.25 oz. serving) of wa\ber (do no\b use a por\bion pack). 
    4.    Repea\b s\beps 2 and 3 \bwo more \bimes \bo comple\bely purge wa\ber from

    Cleaning External Parts
    Regular cleaning of \bhe Brewer’s ex\bernal componen\bs is recommended.
    1.  
    Never immerse \bhe Brewer in wa\ber or o\bher liquids. The Housing 
    and o\bher ex\bernal componen\bs may be cleaned wi\bh a soapy, damp,   
    non-abrasive clo\bh.
    2.    The Drip Tray can accumula\be up \bo 12 ounces of overflow. The Drip Tray 
    and Drip Tray Pla\be should be periodically inspec\bed and rinsed clean.   
    To remove \bhe  Drip Tray Assembly, simply slide i\b \boward you, keeping i\b 
    level a\b all \bimes \bo avoid spilling. The Drip Tray and Drip Tray Pla\be should 
    no\b be placed in \bhe dishwasher.  They should be cleaned wi\bh a damp, 
    soapy, non-abrasive clo\bh and rinsed \bhoroughly. 
    Cleaning the K-C\bp®  h \flder 
    a ssembly
    1.   
    Cleaning the Parts  —The K-Cup® Holder 
    Assembly can be placed on\bo \bhe \bop shelf of a 
    dishwasher. 
    NOTE:  Use low temperature cycles 
    in the dishwasher. 
    To remove from \bhe Brewer, 
    open \bhe cover by lif\bing \bhe Handle. Grasp \bhe  \bop of \bhe K-Cup
    ® Holder wi\bh one hand while 
    push ing up on \bhe bo\b\bom of \bhe K-Cup® Holder 
    from undernea\bh wi\bh \bhe o\bher un\bil i\b releases 
    (fig. 18). Af\ber cleaning, align \bhe K-Cup
    ® Holder 
    wi\bh \bhe openi ng using \bhe \bwo fron\b ribs as a 
    guide, and snap in\bo place from \bhe \bop.

    Cleaning the Funnel  — The Funnel can be 
    removed from \bhe K- Cup® Holder by pulling 
    on i\b un\bil i\b pops off (fig. 19). The Funnel is 
    dishwasher safe. To replace i\b, jus\b snap i\b   
    back on\bo \bhe K-Cup
    ® Holder Assembly.
    \b.    Cleaning the Exit Needle  — The Exi\b Needle is 
    loca\bed on \bhe inside bo\b\bom of \bhe K-Cup
    ® 
    Holder Assembly. Should a clog arise due \bo 
    coffee grinds, i\b can be cleaned using a paper 
    clip or similar \bool. Remove K-Cup
    ® Holder 
    Assembly and de\bach Funnel. Inser\b \bhe paper 
    clip (as shown in fig. 19) in\bo \bhe Needle \bo  loosen \bhe clog and push i\b o u\b. The K-Cup
    ® 
    Holder is dishwasher safe. 
    CAUTION : There are sharp needles that puncture 
    the K-Cup® portion pack above the K-Cup® Holder  and in the bottom of the 
    K-Cup® Holder. To avoid risk of injur y, do not put your fingers in the K-Cup® 
    A ssembly Housing.
    Cleaning the Water Reserv\fir & Water Reserv\fir Lid
    The \fa\ber Reservoir Lid and \fa\ber Reservoir should be periodically  inspec\bed and cleaned.
    The \fa\ber Reservoir Lid or \fa\ber Reservoir should no\b be pu\b in\bo \bhe  dishwasher. They should be cleaned wi\bh a damp, soapy, non-abrasive   
    clo\bh and rinsed \bhoroughly. Do no\b dry \bhe inside of \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir   
    wi\bh a clo\bh as lin\b may remain. 
    To clean \bhe fil\ber screen a\b \bhe base of your \fa\ber Reservoir, emp\by \bhe  \fa\ber Reservoir and follow one or all of \bhe following procedures.
    NOTE:  If you are using a water filter inside the Water Reservoir, remove it 
    before cleaning.

    Brewer. If needed, repea\b above procedures. 
    CAUTION:  Please rinse the Water Reservoir thoroughly after cleaning to ensure 
    that no cleaners or cleaning solutions remain as they may contaminate the water 
    supply in the Brewer.
    De-Scaling Y\f\br Brewer
    Mineral con\ben\b in wa\ber varies from place \bo place. Depending on \bhe   
    mineral con\ben\b of \bhe wa\ber in your area, calcium deposi\bs or scale may   
    build up in your Brewer. Scale is non-\boxic, bu\b lef\b una\b\bended, i\b can hinder  Brewer performance. De-scaling your Brewer helps main\bain \bhe hea\bing elemen\b and o\bher in\bernal par\bs of \bhe Brewer \bha\b come in con\bac\b  wi\bh wa\ber. 
    The Brewer should be de-scaled every   
    3-6 mon\bhs \bo ensure op\bimal performance. I\b   
    is possible for calcium deposi\bs \bo build up fas\ber, 
    making i\b necessary \bo de-scale more of\ben.
    You should promp\bly de-scale if “DE-SCALE” is  displayed on \bhe LCD Con\brol Cen\ber (fig. 20).  However, even if “DE-SCALE” is no\b displayed,   
    you should con\binue \bo de-scale your brewer   
    every 3-6 mon\bhs. Properly follow \bhe de-scaling  procedure described on page 16.

    sec\bion of \bhis guide. 
    St\frage 
    Emp\by \bhe \fa\ber Reservoir before s\boring, and \bake care \bo ensure \bha\b you 
    s\bore your Brewer in a safe and  frost free environmen\b. Please be sure \bo 
    s\bore your Brewer in i\bs  upright position \bo avoid wa\ber leakage from \bhe 
    inner \bank. If you s\bore \bhe Brewer in a cold environmen\b, you run \bhe risk of  wa\ber freezing inside \bhe Brewer and causing damage. \fhen you prepare \bo
