3 About discs This system has been designed to play back the following discs: DVD Video (DVD), Video CD (VCD), Super Video CD (SVCD), Audio CD, CD-R and CD-RW. • This system can also play back MP3 and JPEG files recorded on CD-Rs and CD-RWs. ( Apg. 23) This system can also play back finalized DVD-Rs recorded in DVD VIDEO format. However, so me discs may not be played back because of their disc charac teristics or recording conditions. About discs 4 IMPORTANT Before playing a disc, make sure of the following; Check the connection with the TV. Turn on your TV and select the correct input mode on the TV to view the pictures or on-screen information on the TV screen. For DVD playback, you can change the initial setting to your preference.
