JVC Extreme 4K Resolution Realised by e-shift 2 Technology (DL A-X95R/X75R/X55R) Using JVC’s original e-shif t technology, it is possible to shif t each pixel diagonally by 0.5 pixels to \bultiply the resolution and achieve 4K i\baging. Our totally reva\bped optical engine featuring the new e-shif t 2 \fechnology with i\bproved planarity property and trans\bittance perfor\bance results in vastly increased detail and sharp focusing of the i\bage periphery. JVC’s extre\be 4K resolution delivers enjoy\bent of dyna\bic i\bages with i\b\bersive presence to every corner of the screen. Structure of D-I\bA o\Bptical engine equip\Bped with e-shift 2 T\Bechnology Illustrated represe\Bntation of pixel shi\Bft. Scaler for the e-shift 2 Tech\fology — Multiple Pixel \bo\ftrol (DL A-X95R/X75R/X55R) Superior i\bage processing technology is essential in order to reproduce full HD resolution i\bages on a 4K projector. By advancing our i\bage processing technology to new levels based on JVC’s original algorith\b, we were able to develop a new high-perfor\bance 4K scaling engine as a part of the e-shif t 2 \fechnology to reproduce full HD i\bages with \baxi\bu\b definition and also convert the\b to even higher quality 4K-resolution i\bages. With Multiple Pixel Control, the detection range has been vastly expanded to over ten ti\bes that of conventional \bodels*, \baking it possible to detect a wide range of signal bands within the fra\be. What’s \bore, based on high-precision detection results — which uses a i\bproved detector with refined bandwidth division fro\b a conventional 2 bands to 8 bands — JVC’s original i\bage quality processing that perfor\bs opti\bu\b filtering, dyna\bically controls the background blur and focus is applied, resulting in natural, expressive 4K i\bages. Moreover, five types of 4K Profiles are available to apply opti\bal processing to each specific type of visual \baterial. It is therefore possible to play back high-quality i\bages while enjoying the best any source has to of fer. *Compared to DLA-X\h90R/X70R \facial tones wit h unnatur al, rough gr adations will b e repro duce d as s moot h and natur al f acial tones.Repro duces a s cene wit h more s olid contr as t. D-ILA 3D Projectio\f Leaps Further i\f Quality Frame Addressing I\bage overlapping (crosstalk) is reduced because the shutter on 3D glasses can be left open longer as the \bethod draws each fra\be of the picture individually. As the shutter can be left open for a longer period, crosstalk is not generated as each fra\be of the picture is drawn individually without overlap. \bine Addressing Crosstalk can be generated when shutters are switched between the left and right eyes, and opened only for a short a\bount ti\be. \fhis can cause the picture to darken and lose brightness. Crosstalk generated where left and right eye pictures overlap during which ti\be, the shutter is closed. High Quality 3D Images with D-ILA In addition to JVC’s original Fra\be Addressing \bethod to reproduce 3D i\bages with vivid colours, we also i\bproved the conversion accuracy of the optical engine and 3D glasses to achieve a 20% increase in brightness.* Moreover, several functions such as 2D-3D conversion and 3D picture adjust\bents are featured, which help to provide \bore dyna\bic and realistic 3D viewing that only D-IL A projectors can of fer. *Compared to DLA-X\h90R/X70R/X30 3D Pic ture Adjustment Func tions • Crossta\bk Cance\b\bing for pic tures easier on the eyes • Dis\farity Adjustment for more natural stereoscopic reproduc tion • De\fth Adjustment* for matching depth charac teristics to source • Subtit\be Adjustment* fixes distor ted subtitles \fwo types of 3D glasses are available — IR (infrared) and RF (radio frequency) wireless, which provides \bore flexible use. \bi\fema-like Quality Realised by D-ILA Native \bo\ftrast Ratio Fur ther per for\bance i\bprove\bents for our optical engine utilising JVC’s original D-IL A device and a wire grid have resulted in a high native contrast ratio. Over a broad dyna\bic range fro\b peak whites to deep blacks, the i\bage conveys power ful presence as a result of high native contrast. Moreover, the DL A-X95R is capable of achieving industr y’s highest native contrast ratio of 130,000:1* with the adoption of high-grade par ts and opti\bised optical engine. JV\b’s U\fique Real \bolour Imagi\fg Tech\fology (DL A-X95R/X75R/X55R) JVC's original Real Colour I\baging \fechnology precisely interprets the fine colour reproduction infor\bation in the i\bage to dra\batically i\bprove colour rendition in a way that is true to the original i\bage source. Real Colour I\baging \fechnology also incorporates a Xenon-\bode colour te\bperature setting equivalent to that of a Xenon la\bp, a popular light source used in cine\bas. \fhis setting allows for the authentic reproduc tion of colours si\bilar to those of fil\b in cine\bas, while using highly ef ficient and econo\bical ultra-high pressure \bercur y la\bps. • Xenon-\bam\f Co\bour Tem\ferature Setting (DL A-X95R/X75R) Conventional colour te\bperature setting Xenon-\bode colour te\bperature setting • Co\bour S\face Wider than Adobe RGB (DL A-X95R/X75R) Real Colour I\baging \fechnology features a colour space wider than that of Adobe RGB to vividly reproduce a fuller spec tru\b of colours such as the green of trees, the blue of oceans, etc., which was dif ficult to recreate accurately up until now. DLA-X95R/75R • Dedicated Co\bour Profi\be JVC was able to create a dedicated colour profile by focusing on the colour space infor\bation that characterises an i\bage, and accurately understanding the fine colour expression infor\bation that an i\bage has. \fhis ti\be, we have added a new colour profile for Fil\b, as well as three* profiles exclusively for 3D. Co\bbined use of picture quality \bodes and dedicated colour profiles results in 19* different ways to enjoy high quality i\bages. *X55R offers two 3D\) colour profiles, re\)sulting in 12 diff\)erent ways.
E\fviro\fme\ftal Setti\fg An environ\bental setting func tion has been incorporated to \bini\bise the ef fec t of the projec tion environ\bent on i\bage quality, such as wall colour. Si\bply input screen size, viewing distance and wall colour, and the projec tor will auto\batically apply i\bage co\bpensation so that high quality i\bages can be enjoyed in just about any viewing environ\bent.
