(No.YF200)1-15 3.2.3 DISASSEMBLY OF [14] VF ASSY zBefore disassembly As the VF ASSEMBLY has complicated structure, do not dis- assemble if not needed. When assembling, be careful to prevent dust or any foreign materials entering inside, and avoid soils on both the LENS and the SHEET. zDisassembly procedure (1) Remove the 3 screws (1-3), and then remove the BKT(VF). (2) Remove the screw (4), and remove the VF SHOE PLATE. NOTE14a: When removing the VF SHOE PLATE, be careful in handling as the SLIDE STOPPER 1 and 2 come off. (3) Peel off the FPC from the OUT CASE (VF), and then carefully remove the SLIDE CASE (VF) ASSY by sliding it out. NOTE14b: During the procedure, be careful in handling the FPC. NOTE14c: When attaching, put the CLICK PLATE inside the OUT CASE (VF). (4) Remove the 2 screws (5,6), and then remove the TOP COVER(VF). NOTE14d: When removing the TOP COVER, be careful as the SHEET (PROTECT) comes off. (5) Remove the SHEET(PROTECT). (6) Set the LEVER(VF) to the MARK(z)of the S.CASE(VF) ASSY, and then remove the LENS1 and 2 ASSYS. NOTE14e: When attaching the LENS1 and 2 ASSYS, set the LENS2 ASSY into the LENS1 ASSY first. Adjust the positioning mark of the LEVER (VF) to the MARK(z)of the SLIDE CASE (VF) ASSY before attaching. NOTE14f: When removing the LEVER (VF), turn the LEVER (VF) further clockwise and set the pointed positioning mark to the top. (7) Press hooks (L14a,b) on both sides of the HOLD- ER(LCD) to remove the LCD SA from the CASE(VF). NOTE14g: During the procedure, be careful in handling the switches (VF OPEN/VF SUB OPEN) on both sides. When attaching, pay special attention not to damage the parts. (8) Pull out the FPC from the connector (CN14), and then re- move the VF BL BOARD ASSY from the CASE (BL). NOTE14h: Do not disassemble the LCD SA unless it is required for LCD module replacement. During the procedure, be careful to prevent dust or any foreign materials from entering inside. NOTE14j: During the procedure, be careful not to damage the parts.

(No.YF200)1-17 3.2.4 DISASSEMBLY OF [21] OP BLOCK ASSY/CCD BOARD ASSY zPrecautions (1) The OP BLOCK ASSY in this model has more complicated structure than conventional OP BLOCK ASSY. he relevant parts for CCD BASE ASSY and the OP LPF, that used to be disassembled, are in one unit structure as PRISM ASSY. During the procedure, disassemble the OP BLOCK ASSY only when needed, and be careful not to give any external shock or vibration. (2) During the procedure, be careful in handling the FPC and LENS components. Pay special attention to the surfaces to protect them from stains, dust, or scratches. If the surfaces are soiled with finger prints or other stains, wipe them off with silicon paper, clean chamois leather, or recommended cleaning cloth. zDisassembly procedure (1) Unsolder the total of 42 soldered points (SD21a) from the 3 CCDS, 14 soldered points from each CCD, and then remove the CCD BOARD ASSY from the PRISM ASSY. (2) Remove the screw (1), and then remove the HEAT SINK (CCD) ASSY. NOTE21a: During the procedure, be careful in handling the HEAT SHEET(CCD). (3) Remove the 3 screws (2-4), and then remove the PRISM ASSY.zReplacing service repair parts The service repair parts for the OP BLOCK ASSEMBLY are as listed below. Take special care not to disconnect any of the FPC wires or cause any damage due to soldering (excessive heating). • FOCUS MOTOR UNIT • ZOOM MOTOR UNIT • IRIS MOTOR UNIT • SENSOR • SCREW (for MOTOR) • SCREW (for SENSOR) • SPRING • SPACERS (A), (B) NOTE21b: When removing the FOCUS MOTOR UNIT and ZOOM MO- TOR UNIT, be sure to peel off the SHEET and remove the SPRING before removing the screws. During the procedure, be careful in handling the parts. Avoid reusing the peeled SHEET, and be sure to replace it with a new SHEET. NOTE21c: When attaching the SPRING, be careful not to break or lose the parts and be sure to hook both sides to the HOOKS. NOTE21e: When soldering the FPC of the FOCUS MOTOR UNIT or the ZOOM MOTOT UNIT, lift the FPC a little from the terminal and leave the clearance between them. NOTE21f: Although the IRIS MOTOR UNIT includes the FPC ASSY, it does not include the 2 sensors. When replacing the IRIS MOTOR UNIT, it is necessary to reattach the sensors. NOTE21g: When attaching the IRIS MOTOR UNIT, be careful in han- dling and wiring the FPC.

(No.YF200)1-19 3.2.5 DISASSEMBLY OF [30] MONITOR ASSY zCAUTIONS (1) During the procedure, be careful in handling the LCD MODULE and other parts. Pay special attention not to damage or soil the monitor screen. If fingerprints are left on the screen, wipe them with clean chamois leather or a cleaning cloth. z Removing MONITOR ASSY (1) Remove the 2 screws (1 and 2). (2) Turn the HINGE UNIT ASSY 90°, and remove the 2 screws (3 and 4). (3) Remove the MONI.COVER ASSY by removing the 3 hooks (L30a-c). (4) Release the lock of the connector (CN30a), and remove the HINGE UNIT by lifting it up. NOTE30a: During the procedure, be careful in handling the FPC. (5) Release the lock of the connector (CN30b), and pull out the FPC. (6) Release the lock of the connector (CN30c), and pull out the FPC. (7) Remove the 4 screws (5-8), and Remove the BKT(LCD/ U) . (8) Remove the MONITOR BOARD ASSY . NOTE30b: Attach the MONITOR BOARD ASSY by lifting up the MONITOR CASE as the KNOB (CURSOR) that is at- tached to the BOARD sticks out toward the LCD screen. (9) Remove the SPACER(PET). (10) Remove the BACK LIGHT,LCD MODULE,SPAC- ER(LCD) and the BKT(LCD). NOTE30c: During the procedure disassemble the four parts (BACK LIGHT, LCD, SPACER (LCD), and BLACKET (LCD)) if necessary as they can be removed from the MONITOR CASE ASSY as a whole. zRemoving HINGE UNIT ASSY (1) Remove the screw (9), and Remove the HINGE COV- ER(U). NOTE30d: Be careful in handling the HINGE UNIT shaft as grease is applied. (2) Remove the HINGE COVER(L). (3) Remove the MAGNET. NOTE30e: During the procedure, be careful in handling the mag- net. Be careful with the attachment direction as there is a mark inside the MAGNET on the attachment side to the HINGE UNIT. NOTE30f: During the procedure, be careful in handling the FPC. NOTE30g: The FPC is rolled around the axis of rotation of the HINGE UNIT 2.5 rounds (2.5times). The connecting side to the MONITOR BOARD ASSY is placed inside.
